You are missing my point.
I agree, both teams are handling them the way they should at this time and they are very successful. However; as they grow older that explosion is no longer there. They have to develop their pocket passing skills to stay in the league. Whereas a pocket passer from the start, who has the same injury risk as those guys, can rely on his arm, his head, his eyes; traits that last a whole lot longer than legs in the NFL.
Wilson is at a major disadvantage due to his height. That won't change. He could read a defense and mentally do everything you want a pocket passer to do. Physically, I don't think he's capable of being reliable doing that.
Kaepernick is running a very simplistic offense in terms of passing. The question is, can he handle multiple reads from the pocket. Right now he's asked to look at the primary and if that guy isn't open, just throw it to frickin Boldin. Can he develop? Sure he could but he's never been asked to do that during his football career. To ask him now at the highest level seems tough.
