2015-2016 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am not comparing Kentucky to MSU/Iowa. It is at the same magnitude, though. From your, "no way it happens" statement.

No one thought we could of even sniffed out a game from Kentucky.

And if OSU can play like they did, there's not a "no way it happens" feeling for the next 4 games.

I'm sorry, but I'm not homer enough to think this team can beat 2 teams ranked in the top ten 3 times in a 2 week span...not with the up and down play and not with one of those games in East Lansing. If they do, I will gladly eat crow, but it ain't happening.

I am not being a homer fan. Especially with the way this season has been played.

Are MSU/Iowa better than us? For damn sure. But to say "no way it happens" is pushing it.

I am not saying you are wrong in the evaluation of the teams. Just wrong in the fact you are saying there is a 0% chance.

We will get back to this in a couple weeks.

I'm not saying you are a homer, I'm saying I'm not homer enough...why I'm giving them a 0% chance...but again, will gladly admit wrongdoings if they prove me wrong.

Just offered Jordan Mitchell a scholarship. 2019 6'6 SF from Ohio.

Only a freshman so no rankings of the sort for that year, yet. But future ranking websites are currently ranking him as a 5*, #13-23rd ranked Nationally.

Wasn't a convincing win, but @BimboColesHair ....... :chuckle:

Losing Tate's huge, not that we would have been able to make much noise in the tourney this year but he's arguably our most consistent player.

A nice run in the NIT would benefit this team more than a first round exit in the NCAA Tourney anyway. It's not like we are losing any players to the NBA this year.

Continuity will be nice to see for a change. This team has a lot of potential. It's the most balanced we've been since the Lighty, Diebler, Sully days. We just have to reign in the talent and establish some consistency offensively.

Even with Tate, OSU had no chance at making the tourney this year without winning the Big 10 tourney. They just aren't good. The guys who have talent are underachievers, and the rest were mediocre talents to begin with.

Matta's deteriorating health has hurt, and he hasn't recruited outside of Ohio well enough. Ohio State has the resources to be pulling kids from all around the country, not just Ohio and Indiana.

Not dead yet...think they are in if they win in East Lansing...but if they lose, think they can still get in with 2 wins in the tourney.

Ehh...I think it's gonna take 3 more wins.

They HAVE to win in East Lansing.

Then I think it will take a couple wins in the tourney to get in. If we beat MSU, our 1st game in the B1G tourney should be a win, unless we just blow it. Then the 2nd game will actually be a good win.

So there is still hope, but it's gonna take 3 straight wins.

I just can't imagine us being left out with a win at MSU. Two wins against top ten teams bringing us to 20 wins on the season seems like a decent resume.

That coupled with our success in the Tourney under Thad should do the trick. Am i missing something here?
