2015 Fiesta Bowl | #7 Ohio State vs. #8 Notre Dame | January 1st, 2016 @ 1 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You have to remember the hype at the start of the year..

Best team, ever, etc.

Kept like, every Heisman candidate and got a 7 bowl the year after a natchamp
He remembers. Failure is a harsh word for it. Disappointment is more apt. This team is the Yankees, Red Sox or Dodgers of college football- it is an unlevel playing field and Meyer has just immense resources at his finger tips. Like graduating high school, beating Michigan is what our coach is supposed to do. And last I checked, tOSU doesn't give a damn for the WHOLE state of Michigan- we were .500 against that whole damn state.

This team had 4 months to prepare for one game, Michigan State, then went out and lost it. Winning the end of year exhibition was nice. No, I didn't think a national championship should be expected- Alabama pulls in just as much if not more talent and they have a legendary coach themselves- but the Buckeyes had a yellow brick road to the playoffs and instead ran off the road into the poppy fields for their biggest game. They needed to at least make the playoffs all things considered.

So you've made a case that this season was a failure. Now what about the rest of the comment. 1 out of 4 seasons, was it?

Tell me how that first season was a failure.

There's a twinge of disappointment, sure.

Calling the whole season a failure or the whole season a disappointment is just silly.

If it was a failure b/c of the MSU game, then there's no point in watching our bowl game. These "failure" folks have likely never played football, never been on a championship team at any level after 4th grade, or just have an uncanny ability to be extremely disappointed.

This year just goes to show how fragile it all is to win it all. It can be derailed by a bad day coaching, an injury or 2, a player having a bad game, or even the bounce of a fumble.

What Urban does for OSU is nothing short of remarkable, and these seniors had an incredible run. Hats of to the whole team and let's be proud of our guys.

I just noticed my initial score prediction on this game was insanely close to being correct.
