2016-17 NBA Coaching Carousel

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think Blatt could fit with the Rockets, but my guess is Dwight will not be there and they will be in a mini rebuild which would be good for him.

Good luck getting that group to play defense, Joerger...

It's quite funny that they find themselves right back where they started when they fired Mike Malone. Truly awful decision making by that franchise they past couple years.

Ranadive is the worst owner in the NBA...worse than Sarver, who literally doesn't give a shit about his franchise...I say it every time the Kings come up on this board; "Stauskas...Stauskas...Stauskas...Stauskas"...he baited, pushed, prodded, and forced his GM to take Nik fucking Stauskas 8th overall a year after taking a younger player at the same position 7th overall...some old school Minnesota T'Wolves Kahn taking 3 PGs in a single draft shit right there.

And the Malone firing was the biggest setback that franchise will ever have with Cousins on the team...they finally hired a coach he liked to play for, respected, was willing to do anything for...and they fired him after 24 games his 2nd year with them trending upwards finally...I'm sure Nuggets fans are thanking him, though.

I feel bad for @RealKingsFan that he has to deal with that ownership group...Ranadive makes Dan Gilbert look hands off...hopefully they can hire a solid basketball mind that can tone him down a bit in the future and keep him away from basketball decisions, because Sacto is a lot of fun to play at when they are good, but I don't think they are ever going to get good under Ranadive based on what we've seen to this point...

Edit: and I may be wrong here, RealKingsFan can correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure Cousins barely played in the games Malone coached his 2nd year there...and he still had them 11-13...

Interesting what other line of job has 50% chance of being fired after 2 years.

Frank Vogel seems like the right fit for Orlando to me.

You wouldn't leave that job unless you have a job lined up elsewhere... like Cleveland.

So how many head coaching jobs were lost this season? It must be a record.

Minnesota
Cleveland
New York
Orlando
Indiana
Memphis
Washington
Lakers
Kings
Rockets
Nets
Phoenix

Wherever Blatt lands, I could see him making a big financial pitch for Moz or Delly. Just something to keep an eye on.
