2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JaVale didn't accept Shaq's deal I see.

And? They're not going anywhere.

Probably bolsters Harden's MVP claim. If they manage to finish top-3 in the West, I think he's a lock to win it.

I don't agree for the record, but I think that's how it will go.

Who were the Boston fans cheering for?

Basically all the numbers and analytics still point to Davis.

If we're basing an argument on which player you'd take going forward. I'd take Giannis. One, I think wing players are becoming more valuable in today's game.

Two, Davis' injury history scares me off a bit, still. Big men don't tend to get healthier as they age either. And I am not sure his body is meant to support how tall his is anyways. Remember, he was like 6 feet tall at one point in high school.

Three, the rate in which Giannis is improving. He's the closest thing I've seen to LeBron. He's not LeBron and I don't think he ever will be. But if you said poor man's LeBron, isn't that still pretty impressive?

But Anthony Davis is a monster. He's playing on an absolutely horrific organization that doesn't have a clue what it's doing.

Davis probably only speaks three words these days: Get Me Out!

If you look at Hollinger's rankings (https://insider.espn.com/nba/hollinger/statistics), Giannis (28.89) is the second most efficient player in the league right now (after Westbrook, 30.10). Obviously, AD isn't chopped liver - he's 5th, at 27.56 - but Giannis is doing more to positively affect a ballgame than everyone except the second coming of The Big O. For comparison, Bron (27.42) and Love (24.70) are 11th and 14th.

The Rockets are 16-2 in their last 18 games, Their 2 losses have been by a combined 8 points against the Spurs and the Grizzlies

Harden still gets foul calls when an opposing player farts within 20 feet of him. Let him put up those numbers playing by the same rules as Bron, and I will be impressed.

LOVE seeing the Raps get smacked around. Maybe people will get off their jocks a little bit. Lowry was 2-9, with 6 points and 2 assists. Strong!

Still hope they don't get Millsap. That would be messed-up. They are scoring better than the Warriors without him.

With or without Millsap the Cavs have the 3 best players in a series with Toronto (though it's certainly arguable that Love could be behind Lowry or Demar, but I personally don't agree)

It's not often that a team with the top 3 players in a series loses

Also millsap is TT's certified bitch.

God dammit Raptors. Now I have to hear "LOL THIS IS CLEVELAND'S ONLY COMPETITION IN THE EAST?" bs.
