2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm still amazed that 3 of the top 5 picks in the 2003 NBA Draft were able to collude and join forces for 2 rings.

Just sharing my thoughts.

Holy fuck, Jimmy Butler is quietly averaging a 25/7/5 on 45/35/87 splits this season.

That is just insanely good, we were all creaming our pants over Paul George last year (23/7/4 on 42/37/86) and Butler's somehow been even better.

I'm always fascinated by players who make such big improvements in their games and keep getting better every single year (even if that improvement is marginal). Butler is one of those players. I would add DeRozan to that list as well as he was ridiculously raw (and more or less just a physical specimen) before entering NBA and has become one of the craftiest players in the whole league.

I'd say best mid-range game as well as contested shot finisher (often looking more like a fluke) in the league right now.

Wine and Gold used to rep Derozan a lot. He Pulled back on his assessment of him later, but however many years in turns out he was right. Derozan is hated as a rival around here, but you can't deny his improvement.

Yup. Honestly, I mostly like the Raptors squad. I can't stand Lowry because people give the Cavs shit for LeBron complaining but Lowry complains more than any other NBA player in the league not on the Warriors. Also hate how easily DeRozan draws fouls. But the worst thing about the Raptors is their commentary team. They're close to Boston and Golden State in terms of shitty commentary. Just as bad as the fanbase IMO.

Yea I don't get Boston. That's the best 2 guard in the league. If the Bulls are willing to trade him...what are you waiting on? Bona fide top10 player in the NBA. Multiple years left in his prime. But whatever. Keep hanging on for something better.

Giannis's eurostep is the most deadly move in the NBA. Completely unguardable.

Boston WON'T trade for Butler? Where'd you see that?

Giannis is incredible. he just completely took over the game the last 3-4 minutes on both ends. A block and deflections on defense, and simply unstoppable on offense.

Once LBJ's reign ends, Giannis will be the best player in the league.

Anthony might have something to say about that.

Anytime you can draft a Marcus Smart or a Jaylen Brown, you have to do it... :chuckle:

To think OKC had Westbrook, KD, and Harden.

They $%^&$# that up pretty bad.
