2016 WORLD SERIES Game #6 -|- Indians Vs Cubs -|- November 1, 2016 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good, I'm glad you're hyped. I'm hyped as well. I'm very aware that we could lose. However, we are favored, and I see no reason to spread anything but positive energy heading into tonight. It's the World Series, this isn't supposed to be easy.

If Kluber does this tonight, he deserves a statue. The fact he is even starting makes him a legend already. Don't care if he isn't able to win. Three starts in one World Series, fuck Bumgarner, that dude didn't even do it. (Though he pitched G7)

If Kluber wins tonight, he's on the same level as LeBron in this city, yeah I said it.

I agree. I think some would scoff at it just cause of the weight LeBron carries image wise, but in terms of sports accomplishments, no doubt he is.

Whatever team loses this Game 7 will have so much fodder for the "curse" fire.

I still think it's the Cubs and that my original Indians in 7 prediction holds.

For context, last pitcher to win 3 games in a WS was Randy Johnson in 2001. He started and won games 2 and 6, then pitched 1.1 innings in game 7 to get the win. Last time a pitcher won 3 starts was Mickey Lolich in 1968.

Coincidentally, Curt Schilling started games 1,4,7 in 2001. He won game 1, was in line to win game 4 until a blown save, and only gave up 2 runs in 7.1, even though he left the game down 2-1.

3-0 vs a 103 win team, MVP, 1st championship since 1948. Not even close? I beg to differ.
Not to speak for @The Oi, but I am guessing he means overall popularity to the city. Kluber could pitch a perfect game tonight, and he's still will be well short of LeBron's overall stature.

Now, if we are talking about comparing LeBron's 2016 Finals vs Kluber's 2016 WS, I agree that what Kluber could possibly accomplish would be at the very least be in the discussion of LeBron's 2016 Finals.

I'm all about what's going on now, If Kluber comes through with a legendary performance and walks out a champion, he will be the most popular Indian and most popular Cleveland athlete until LeBron is back on his stage.

Are you talking about the finals/WS performance? Or their popularity and quality as a Cleveland athlete?

If Kluber were to go 3-0 in a WS against the Cubs, I agree that's probably better than LeBron's finals performance.

I may have misunderstood.

I'm, surprisingly, at peace with whatever happens tonight. Must be the Finals hangover. Go Tribe!

I'm not worried about Kluber. I'm worried about scoring enough runs off Hendricks.

If you don't think we can win tonight, then GTFO. You probably just started watching this team 2 weeks ago anyways.

This team has fought through adversity all year to get to this point, and now we have the best pitcher in the playoffs on the mound at home in a game 7.

We are the favorites in this game, not overwhelming favorites, but favorites nonetheless. Don't try to spin it any other way.

We have 1 game for the championship. Get your heads out of your asses and Roll Damn Tribe.
Based on what? We aren't the betting favorites.

Betting lines are based off public perception. We started as favorites, but the line shifted because a bunch of Cub fans bet on the Cubs.

Statistical models like fangraphs and 538 have us as favorites.

EDIT: I believe the @shoes22 model has us as favorites as well
