Honestly if the price tag falls on a Cain or someone like that we have to pull the trigger and make the move. I think Francona and the players can make the adjustment to get everyone on the field since 18 is a contending year with a good team already especially if we see Clev, Tomlin and Bauer of the second half the whole season.

I am not sure if Ramirez wants to move back to 3B and I don't blame him if he doesn't, but Kipnis's best position is 2nd and for one more season, it would be smart to do. After this season Kipnis likely will be traded when we have to do a small rebuild anyways since we lose our bullpen and will have to put minor league starters into the bullpen probably (Plutko, Morimando etc)

Indians waiting for market to take shape just like last year. EE signed later in the process. Bargain hunting does not mean always mean poor players.

Combo of how GMs handle FA and also how the agents do, too. Boras notoriously drags his feet, trying to milk every dollar. Other agents have taken notice. Just look @ how Boston has basically just sat back and waited for JD Martinez, while their opponent went out and got Giancarlo Stanton.

Salazar, Zimmer and one of the Tribe’s prospects ranked 4-10 for Christian Yelich. Who says no?

You know who might end up being a good cheap, bounce-back candidate? Johnathan Lucroy. Or did Indians fans thoroughly poison that well on that one?

Also, Jay Bruce's agent is floating that he has two multiyear offers and probably soon a third.... may be signing soon, probably not, who knows... wonder if the Tribe is in on him still. He seems to really want to play out west.
