2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Isaiah Cannan just completely eviscerated his leg on a fall. Absolutely brutal to watch.

For those wondering (don't look):

Not to mention it has been criminal watching him force Plumlee/Jokic lineups when the entire basketball world can see that surrounding Jokic with 4 capable scorers makes them a more dynamic team

Its been frustrating watching him coach this team

In theory, yeah, but being on the floor with Plumlee is actually Jokic's best 2-man combo this year (well, after Millsap, who's hurt).

Their lineups have been very successful.

You havent been watching the games.

Jokic plays like he did tonight without Plumlee out there.

He is the type of player that plays off of feel. Like LeBron, but at the 5, you surround him with shooters and he figures out the defense over time.

Plumlee is like Tristan Thompson with better passing and quicker jumping. He shrinks the floor for Jokic. Watching Jokic dissect a defense without Plumlee out there is beautiful. Watching him try to attack against a quicker defender at the 4 and less spacing from his 5, looks like he's playing with an extra defender there.

Has the great TT vs. Val draft debate finally been settled for good then?

Val has been the better player every year until 2014, they were about equal in 2014-15, Tristan was better for two seasons 2015-17, and now Val is better again.

It's crazy how that's gone back and forth. Up until LeBron came back, I would have absolutely swapped TT for Val. Then they get to the playoffs and play Val off the floor (after he got hurt the first year, the cavs did to him last year what the Warriors did to Timo in the finals).

Now? I'd do that swap again.

Watch Drummond in this clip. :chuckle:

Oh gee - look who just grabbed themselves a big who could help out...

Wonder what Koby is doing (besides fisting his own asshole).

Why would Monroe come play here for the minimum when he could have played for his hometown team(New Orleans) or sign for $5M in Boston.

Did you expect Koby to drug him and forge his signature?

Agreed. And if we did sign Monroe? Plenty of people would be bitching that we signed a big man who can't defend or shoot.

Monroe probably wouldn't have looked very good here. Cavs' style doesn't really fit his game.

I do think he'll look very good in Boston, at least in the regular season.

Just sayin’ - a good team gets better...

Agreed that Monroe might be enough help for us but you watch, in Boston with Brad Stevens, he'll become a force that no one seen coming. Bank on it.

Donovan Mitchell just went off for 40 tonight and the Jazz are rolling since Gobert returned to the lineup.

SVG made a nice little trade for Blake but he has got to be kicking himself for taking Kennard ahead of Mitchell

Jackson
Mitchell
Johnson
Blake
Drummond

That would have been a sick team. Mitchell is one of those ready to go at anyone from day one types. Doesn’t need 3-4 years to get the cajones to go up against anyone like some young guys
