2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I agree with Heinson. Why is Kyrie off the ball so much?

I feel like I'm going to post this 800 times over the next 5 months.

But Kyrie was used 100% properly here by Lue as a 2nd option next to a great player. That's who he is at his core and that's where he excels and is great.

The Celtics offense is going to neuter him to an extent as well as the double and triple teams he will see every night.

Two other things I think we gotta watch for with Kyrie.

1. Now he's gotta pace himself far more than before.

2. He's played in 3 straight NBA finals. Short off season. Not everybody is LeBron (and he even he needs to coast) and that can be tough when asked to take on MORE responsibility.

He might be saving himself for the 2nd half though.

The Boston play-by-play said Kyrie was already telling people in a huddle to get him the ball more earlier in the game.

The lack of defense in this Brooklyn/Pacers game is making me physically ill.

106-96 Indiana with 45 seconds left in the third quarter. Jeez.

Tatum vs. Michael Porter Jr. is going to be interesting to follow over the years. I think both from the same hometown as well.

Neither Okafor or Stauskus playing for Philly. Still a fan of Stauskus. Started to play better last year for them.

Jaylen Brown seems to have really taken a leap this year.

If there's a potential positive to the Hayward injury, its that Brown might really establish himself in the league this year.

Man, Boston was going to be good. Really good.

I fully reject the idea that, because of loss of depth, they may potentially be worse than last year.

First of all, Thomas was still going to be out for them for months.

Second of all, based on early returns, moving Jae Crowder is going to end up being addition by subtraction. Brown is going to be better, and sooner rather than later.

Booker, generously listed at 6'8", is the only decent frontcourt player on the Nets roster. They may be historically bad on defense this year.

The Heat getting smacked in the mouth by Orlando of all teams.

post big deal Dion 5-12with 10p3a1r. yikes.

Kyrie can't really afford to pace himself if he's interested in making the playoffs this year

And Hayward injury or not he's gonna look like a fucking fool if he can't get that team to the playoffs

Remember some people actually scoffed at the idea of getting Brown part of the Celtics trade?

I don't get why, either. The only thing really missing in his game is a legit outside shot. He can't really dribble that well, but doesn't really have to for his position.

He was just raw last year, being ya know, only 19 years of age.

Not everyone that age comes into this league is a gangbuster.
