2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Having a true center against GS would be huge. Gasol feasted against them tonight. I wish there was a way to get a legit center without giving up the Nets pick.

I feel that is entirely possible. Given Cousins' impending FA, I don't think any team would send a high first-rounder for him.

I think Cavs 2018, TT and Osman or Zizic could do it.

If Gasol is actually annoyed with Memphis then the price for him would be even lower.

I think NO will sooner just roll the dice on keeping Cousins if that's the best return they can get

If we are counting it as a given that Cousins hits the market I think that package gets outbid. TT just doesn't have any value to the Pelicans. So we are basically talking Cedi and a late round pick. The pelicans could use the wing help but Cedi is just a huge unknown. I would almost consider him a draft pick in himself.

I think Houston could step up and offer up Ariza and whatever it takes to get the salary match if Tucker keeps playing like this. Then there's always the wildcard team that tricks themselves into thinking they're a contender like the Raptors with Ibaka.

I just don't think Cousins fetches that low of a return. The Kings shipping him off for a lowish return (which was still a lot more than we can offer without the Nets pick) was mostly because the Kings didn't want to pay Cousins the DPE and I'm assuming every GM knew it

Melo took 26 shots tonight to score 26 points. This is why I'm ultimately glad we didn't get him.

PG is the one that got way. Melo, Wade were always who they were. If we could have somehow gotten George and kept Love, we'd be exactly where we need to be vs GS.

So we just going to act like Giannis is not the second best player in the league

And he is who the king will pass the torch to in 2021

Small sample size obviously

Suns as a whole are an atrocious defensive team atm, but JJ ranks terribly as a defender right now. His defense was his calling card, but I don't think he is going to be a good defender at all in his first 3 years.

He could be. I need a larger sample size though.

I do think he's going to be the next face of the league though. It was just a short clip, but from the interview during the Cavs/Bucks game Friday he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Giannis has the respect of this board. Read the Milwaukee game-thread.

Definitely genuine heir to King James' throne if he continues.

Who is JJ?

And yeah suns let ball look like Jordan out there

Just look at crowder and imagine George with the KING

Damn you pacers
