2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So much for Boston's win against a good team.

OKC about to lose to the previously 1-8 Kings and struggled to break 85 points.

I watched the whole 2nd half...Billy Donovan's offensive sets make Ty Lue's system look like Popovich and the 2014 Spurs. They just rotated their 3 guys taking contested threes at different areas on the floor. Once in awhile Russ would drive inside and create a slightly open shot for Melo or George. Other time's he'd just rise up on his own from 34 feet without a pick.

And their announcers are Boston-esque with the ref-complaining every play. Wow.

:chuckle:

Westbrook got an offensive foul turned flagrant for accidentally kicking the defender on a jumpshot..

Missing only the Tommy Heinsohn voice....color commentator goes "They allow more contact in my grandsons soccer league...he's 5!"

It was great.

I just don't understand how OKCs big 3 combined 15/54 against the Kings of all teams.

Brandon Ingram, who was labeled a bust by many, has been playing quite well this season. 15.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.3 spg... 45.7% from the field and 38.9% from three. It's also easy to forget that the kid is still crazy young. Only turned 20 a couple of months ago. He can still become a legitimate star.

At this rate I'm calling OKC at the deadline and offering up Boston's second rounder in 2030 or whenever it is and something stupid like Jeff Green for Paul George

They'd be fools not to take it

Ehh. He’s been better and all but I’m not sure about “legitimate star”. He’d have to take some quantum leaps in terms of BBIQ and few for the game. He’s at least probably not going to be a total bust which is encouraging for Laker fans.(especially since Lonzos play has been so discouraging.)

Boston may very well take an L tonight. Lakers are sneaky good and I am not sure how many missing bodies Irving can make up for with Al out.

Lonzo is just...yikes..

It's like he doesn't even want to be responsible for the ball more often than not. Wants to run to the corner and throw passes to cutters when they kick it to him. Def. doesnt want to shoot or run PnR.

They could've had Tatum...Lakers might be a playoff team if they'd drafted Tatum and thrown money at Rubio instead of KCP in free agency.

People just keep going with the "but Lonzo's passing is AMAZINGGGG!!!"

Well...his passing becomes easier and easier to stop/limit/contain each passing game because teams have no fear that Lonzo is going to actually make them pay for sitting on every passing lane by scoring enough to make them pay.

Nobody is bothering to send a double team his way. Because he doesn't deserve it.

On the PnR they just run under the pick like he's Rajon Rondo...and the numbers say that currently would be an insult to Rajon Rondo.

Lonzo has to be one of the worst players of history that plays 33+ minutes and has a 8 PER

For example, Kay Felder plays 11 minutes and has a 6 PER

Lonzo also has a 84 ORtg per 100, Rubio had a 99 (Rookie year), everyone's favorite comparison Jason Kidd rocked a 103 (Rookie year).
