LOL um no that Love trade was not a 1-for-1 trade.

They got Wiggins, Bennett and Thaddeus Young in that 3-team deal. They gave up Mbah a Moute and another throw in (Shved)

Yes, for salary purposes. It wasn't like they really wanted Bennett or Young. Young was just an expiring contract and only there for half a season. It was one future asset (Wiggins) for one current asset (Love) essentially. The rest were just throw-in's.

In the Phoenix scenario's, you're looking for a very good current asset and 2 great future assets.... that's much more than the Love trade.

First off, Bennett was a first overall pick just one year removed. While there were questions as to whether he would do a ton, don't act like Minnesota didn't want him. Also they did want Thaddeus Young. He was a great role player and they liked him a lot. Neither of those two were throw ins.

Second, Kyrie's current trade value is arguably higher than Love's was. Love was a great player with a lot of trade value. Some people consider Kyrie a superstar.

Anyhow back to the point: despite all the mental gymnastics you're doing to the contrary... clearly teams coming out and saying someone won't be traded doesn't prove a thing. So I wouldn't be pounding my chest over this report. It proves NOTHING.

Umm Young was brought in by a 3rd team and they gave up a first they would have got from us to get him so they viewed him as an asset and someone they wanted... So he wasn't just a filler in the trade...

The Suns are not the only team to trade with. If they want him bad enough the Cavs will get what they want. How do we even know the Cavs want what Phoenix has?

Man I'm starting to warm up to Denvers assets. I think they could be thinking of making a big play for Irving..
That Jamal Murray is going to be really good. If I could get Murray, Harris , Chandler and a first rounder i think I'm doing that.

This is funny because someone just reported the Suns have finalized their offer to Cleveland and Josh Jackson is involved in the trade. The fact that anyone thinks they can do the deal without including Jackson is kind of weird to me actually.

Best thing about Denvers package is it helps us this year we could run Gary Harris - JR Smith - LBJ - KLove - TT with Rose - Murray - Korver - Chandler - Frye/Edy Taveras off the bench

Harris isn't a PG but he can guard PGs and is excellent in the catch and shoot game dude shot 50 percent from the field and 42 percent from 3 imagine what he could do with all the open looks playing with LBJ and KLove? Also the second unit led by DRoss would have Murray Korver Chandler and Frye who can all play off Rose and make up for his lack of shooting

Would have interesting if we did trade Love for Bledsoe/#4 pick and got Jackson. (since we were trying to do that to set up a Paul George trade, but it would have fell through of course)

Then with the Kyrie issue we'd have to look elsewhere. Maybe Wiggins/Dieng or get Cousins...

TT/Frye
Cousins/Green
LeBron/Jackson
JR/Korver
Bledsoe/Rose

or

TT/Dieng
LeBron/Green
Wiggins/Korver
JR/Jackson
Bledsoe/Rose

If the best player we get back in a Kyrie deal is Andrew Wiggins(Who is ranked as one of the most inefficient players in the league and one of its worst defenders) then I am not watching the NBA next year.

About teard up watching this from Golden Hoops.

What a pleaser watching these two work over the last three years. The SHOT, the handoff and the 57 game vs the Spurs with the big 3 sending it to OT. Was a great ride.

Kyrie is a fool. I ain't mad, just disappointed. . .

i like their pieces also, plus they just signed Milsap on that 2 year deal that matches up with Kyrie's contract. It seems like they'd be ripe to roll the dice and put something together and take their shot more than the other teams

Wow, tough decision on unloading Irving. Hard to give up a guy like this when James may be gone in a year.

The otherworldly talent, the clutch shooting, but also the defensive liabilities. He wants to run his own show, but it seems like that would exacerbate his main issue as a PG and the reason James so often had to run the show: inadequate floor leadership. I also doubt he can stay healthy taking on #1 guy burdens. He's never been as hardy as the guys he is so eager to emulate. Just hard to believe that any team with him as your #1 guy is going far, and yet he apparently won't be satisfied until he is that guy.
