I'm getting a bad feeling that Dan and Koby are going to trade Kyrie for scraps, I just don't trust them to be creative or savvy enough to go for a big box office king ransom type trade, like going after AD/Boogie blockbuster type players.

We'll probably end up with a young player and a borderline All-Star, unfortunately.

If this is the case... there are too many conflicts of interests here. I'm starting to understand Dan Gilbert's position.
If the Cavs can't get a good deal I would just bring Kyrie back. Bench or fine him if he gives problems. But under no circumstances should the Cavs take a bad trade just to get rid of Kyrie.

Just saw that myself. Kid needs to grow up. To me that is a blow to Cleveland as much as it is to Lebron. These overpaid assholes are starting to bug the shit out me --- all of them.
I don't know. I thought it was pretty funny...this whole circus makes me laugh more than angry.

So is that a knock on LeBron?

What Kyrie intended to say was:-

I just read that AD is tired of losing and is frustrated by the Pelicans. Hell why not offer them Kyrie and Shump for AD and a solid wing like Pointdexter?

Rose
JR
Lebron
Love
AD

I would like That.
Here we are talking about getting a kings ransom for Kyrie and you think he's worth AD? I doubt you could find 2 teams combined with enough assets for NOP to even consider it.

Davis is signed until 2021. He's stated recently he's happy with the franchise moves. No way in hell will he be traded during this decade unless something goes incredibly wrong.

If true, this is a bad sign. 1-2 months ago there were rumors of the Cavs trading Kyrie to the Suns for Bledsoe and the number 4 pick to land Paul George, and the Lebron camp's stance was different, that they had no objection to the trade idea but wouldn't commit to staying. Even though Pritchard would have nixed any such trade, this change in Lebron's position is important. Now it seems Lebron doesn't want any of his friends committed here.

I don't want to wait till July of 2018 to find out Lebron is leaving. If I'm Koby Altman, I keep Kyrie until I can try to trade for Bledsoe and Paul George at the same time on December 15. If Lebron still rejects that Bledsoe trade even after Presti is willing to give us Paul George, it means Lebron is leaving for sure.

If I'm Gilbert, I get Lebron and Kyrie in the same room and tell Lebron thanks for giving away your tell that you're leaving, and tell Kyrie you're going to be around till December 15 at least, and tell both of them they're going to have to get along for a little while because it's in the best interest of this franchise.

Last year all the talk of the "player" causing issues was always brought up so you could be right. AT the end of the day they may always be bros but got into it over the game plan ect... Many thought Love and I even thought maybe T.T but you could be right. Irving is a master of hiding his emotions and acting of sorts.

If I had to guess I think it came down to LeBron wanted Kyrie to change his game and being so young and hitting the biggest shot in NBA history or one of them. Said hey fuck that I am going to play my game and I want to show the world I am better than this. Basically the Rose move proves he is here to get KI to stay or to go. Because one thing KI never had a actual back up PG who take the load off of him. Mo kind of did but he dicked over the Cavs as well maybe... who knows. Maybe one day we will.
Oh someone knows..something that serious happened, words exchanged , someone knows(Chauncey Billups claims to know..whatever) but I agree this 'player" probably is Irving..I think when that comment came out I thought first it JR..a few in here thought it was Kyrie..maybe that was the rumblings..

this whole situation is very puzzling... as an outsider that has to rely on media reports to get a clue of whats happening, there is a lot of speculating happening right now, mainly from journalists with little to no credibility. So i find it very hard to tell who's to blame for all of this...
Anyway, we have one year of competing left, after that god knows what happens.
so if we are going to trade kyrie, we should only do it for pieces that give us a legitimate shot at beating the gsw this year (ie. a half year rental of westbrook at the deadline if things dont work out in okc)
OR help us start over in the post LBJ-era, which might already begin in a year.

Kyrie would help us beyond 2018, either if he wants to be the top dog here, or by trading him for young pieces to start a rebuild with. So i personally wouldn't flip him for players like bledsoe, chandler and melo that dont get the job done against gsw and have limited to no trade value after lbj leaves. so if the suns dont want to include jj, there's no way i trade kyrie.

What is this December 15th your talking about it doesn't apply to PG13 but he's staying in OKC regardless they think playing with Russell will convince him to stay...Paul George could be traded again tomorrow no restrictions unless you want someone who signed as a FA

The Cavs will be introducing new GM Koby Altman today in a press conference at Cleveland Clinic Courts and you can bet many of the questions will be related to Kyrie Irving. It will be interesting to see how Dan Gilbert & Altman handle these questions. I expect alot of corporate speak about doing what is in the best interest of the franchise, expecting Kyrie to honor his contract, etc. They obviously aren't going to want to lose leverage in trade talks.

I expect the Kyrie trade talks to drag out another month or two. They will slowly whittle down the field and then talks will get intensive after that. By the sound of things, New York & Phoenix are already out of the running.

I'm guessing deal gets done by mid august with a team no one's talking about in a huge shocker
