The Celtics won't have any cap room until Horford's contract is up.

Even then it's highly unlikely they'll have any room. Especially if they re-sign Smart.

Eh, it'll be 30 million off their books. I don't see them retaining Smart unless he takes a serious discount to stay. They don't really need him now that Rozier has stepped up.

Yeah but assuming he picks up his player option in 19/20, Kyrie will be on a ful max and him and Hayward alone will be like 60+million and Brown will be up for a contract which will likely be at least 15/20 mil and even if It’s just those three and Tatum they’ll be at 80-90 in guaranteed money. Plus any rookies they draft in between.

They have plenty of assets to make moves though so they definitely have a bright future.

Yeah. If they somehow could convince Horford to decline that PO and re-up for cheap so they could add an additional star in Free Agency...that'd be scary. He'll be 33 by that point, I could see him doing it to try to win a title before he's done.

They're set up great for multiple seasons from now but this and next year they're simply not a threat.

Not sure what this is supposed to mean. Not a threat to us, not a threat to win the Eastern Conference? Ummm, yes they are. Not a threat to GS? Well, they would be a major underdog to GS, but we would be too. And this year they have performed better against GS than we have.

The Celtics team featuring IT and Crowder was not a threat because they lacked talent. The Celtics team featuring Kyrie is. Like it or not, we gift-wrapped the Celtics future for them and turned them from an also-ran into a threat.

If anything, the Celtics problem is how to manage their roster to incorporate their upcoming lottery pick and all their own draft picks. Something else we helped them with by letting them exchange their roster deadweight for one of our best players.

Doesn't matter. Boston will still have GREAT trading assets. So of course they're always a threat to still snag a superstar.

If Anthony Davis becomes available in a trade, and they get him, they are definitely a contending team.

Won't happen now, but could happen next year maybe.

Danny Ainge basically has to wear Depends around these days, because he is always soiling himself from laughing so hard.

Good show, Gilbert & Co.!

Still the dumbest trade in the history of the Cavaliers. This one edges out Ron Harper.

Probably still slightly better than Butch Lee and the rights to James Worthy for Don Ford and the rights to Chad Kinch...

I am at peace. I went hog-wild last night with frustration.....

I was there on East 4th the moment the clock ticked zero and we won it all.

Our story in hoops history will be remembered as one of the greatest titles of all time.

We ACTUALLY won it all for Cleveland. I'm an avid radio listener, and for my entire adult life the conversation has been misery.

LeBron NEEDED Kyrie, maybe Irving felt otherwise as a young up and comer.

Kyrie is lucky as fuck he got traded to BOSTON, of all places.

WE GOT OURS. Kevin Durant provided us an impossible situation, because he's a weak ass cunt.

In history, the wounds will be healed. Durant had to do what he did, because LeBron + Kyrie was a fucking problem.

Cleveland won't fault Kyrie.

Cleveland won't fault LeBron from leaving.

Cleveland will one day rejoice after the Warriors cock-sucking ends.

We needed the road that's here.

We GOT our first championship.

Kyrie might have seen something the "comfortable in Cleveland" LeBron James did not.

You will change your attitude when Silver realizes we got the shit end of the stick and will give us a top 3 pick by default. Just because the Nets win some here and there doesn't mean a 1.7% chance can't be rigged, it's been done before .

People like you need to calm down and get a grasp of we had no fucking choice but to trade the cry baby diva demanding a trade, unless u wanted to keep him, then he sits out an entire season. His dad is an asshole, he wasn't bluffing.

If only the Tribe could have won the WS the same year... Then my life would be complete...

Honestly think Celtics have a better chance of beating the warriors in a 7 game series then the Cavs do. Only problem is the Celtics aren't getting past the Cavs.

Not sure how anyone can say that with confidence right now.

Five years or so from now Kyrie will have as many rings as LeBron. Don't fool yourself.
Boston will build a better team as much as I hate to think it. They will attract top players and won't make mistakes like we have.
I'm just the messenger.
