No - he WAS lights-out last year in the playoff.

What I'm saying is: we will find out about an injury, or depression, or drug or alcohol abuse, in the offseason.

Kluber has SHOWN that he has nads of steel. He wasn't all there, these last two starts. There was a reason.
Interesting triad of possible afflictions there, Kilgore :doh (17):
Does cover most/all bases tho

I mean, in the end, they are ALL physical afflictions, some affecting the “body”, some affecting the “spirit”. What I’m saying is: Kluber hasn’t previously shown evidence of that affliction sometimes termed “just being a pussy” - quite the opposite, in fact. He’s won two WS games.

Of course, the same metric would need to be applied to Lindor and Hosey. And there, I can’t say whether “being a pussy” was secondary to another diagnosis.

They've only gotten their souls crushed a couple of times. Not repeatedly, over a period of 40 years.

I'd think about this one again. First of all, the Bills have been nearly as inept as the Browns. They haven't made the playoffs since 1999. Think about that. The Browns have made it in more recent memory. And the last time they made it they suffered one of the worst losses in NFL history.

Been to four Superbowls, won zero of them.

The "woe is me" attitude that infects this board at times is so hard to stomach. We just won a championship last year. The list of current NBA franchises that have never won a title is massive. It's nearly half the league.

Nah, it’s just the old definition of insanity with teams like the Indians and Browns. The worst part for the Tribe is that they are a very well run organization, but they just get snake bitten every year. 10 playoff appearances in 22 years is incredible, but 0 titles. Juxtapose with the Marlins two titles in two playoff appearances. The Browns meanwhile are the worst run team in sports and they have actually won a championship more recently than th Indians! Woe is the Indians fan for sure.

The Indians are well run, but when you think of the all time loser franchises, they have to be on the list, along with the Browns, Lions, Clippers, Bills, Indians. They are currently the biggest loser franchise in baseball and will likely wear that millstone for another 30-40 years. Last year was the year and they Klubed it.

And that list doesn't even include the 2005 team which won 93 games and had the second-best run differential in all of baseball (first in the AL) but didn't even make the playoffs because they tanked in the final week of the regular season.

What do you expect? We got a taste of success, and then the realization that it might be the only success we ever see. Naturally we want more.

THAT team. Right. That was called THE COLLAPSE, until even greater misfortune befell us.

See, that might be the worse sporting disaster a normal city experiences. But for us, it doesn’t even make the list...

Any word on what happened yet? Why everyone shit their pants all at once?

Then why the hell is he starting two games instead of Cookie...

He's a guy who usually corrects that quickly, cause his mechanics, IMO, are the best in baseball. If you've seen him correct it on the fly before, and we have, its hard to not throw the Cy Young winner out there twice.

Just another weird event that had to happen to get us here.

Guy who has had flawless mechanics for the last 5 years suddenly loses them over 6 innings and can't find them. Weird.

Oh, I may have misunderstood the quote then. I took it as Kluber physically could not get his arm slotted correctly due to injury.

No. His issue was definitely mechanical. Can't buy back problems being the cause when the velocity was pretty normal on all of his pitches, as was the lateral movement on most of his pitches. He was just flat.

Sounds like he fell into a bad habit towards the end of the regular season with his mechanics when pitchers arms start to drag a bit, and just never got out of it.

As I've said, the back injury was straight bullshit started up by ignorant people with mics on the radio.
