Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hoynsie says Bauer feels like he's a victim of circumstance :chuckle:

"Everything is right in Bauer's mind, it's just a string of bad luck to him." "He believes he makes the perfect pitch"

Explain the Kent State girl references.
He is a 26 year old single male active on social media and is interested in college-aged females. He also happens to be socially awkward so no doubt there are probably a weird encounter or three between him and the attendees of the local party college. Not really much more to it than that.

I find the hatred of Bauer to be fascinating. The frustration I get, simply bc his numbers are very replaceable- but the hate just seems bizarre. Is it because he is an intelligent, hard-working white male that folks assume he should dominate? I think the answer is much simpler- he is a self made athlete and kind of a unicorn of sorts in professional sports; he just might not have the natural athleticism to repeatedly throw an orb 60 feet into a predetermined 6 inch box over and over and over. He simply doesn't have fine control of his stuff, no matter how hard he works. Everyone freaks out because he pitches 'high' but fails to realize that he can't consistently hit his spots. And just ' listenin' to tha pitchin' coach galldarnit' isn't going to correct this.

He gives people the impression that he's not completely dedicated to pitching, whether true or not. Seems immature.

How does he give off that impression? The guy seems obsessed with pitching in my opinion.

Too obsessed...one of his major flaws.

Just one off season he needs to work on making his pitches he throws better, instead of learning new pitches...why learn how to throw a splitter in your mid 20s when you already have plus stuff and a plus arm? Makes no sense.

Has the stuff...doesn't have the discipline or the mental makeup yet. Part of that is because he is too smart for his own good. Next game he starts, I urge everyone to watch how many times he shakes off Yan or Robo in comparison to everyone else in the rotation. Pretty staggering when you notice it...

All the bullshitting around on Twitter and the drone hobby doesn't strike me as the type of thing you'd see a fully mature adult doing.

Maybe he is obsessed with pitching, but it really doesn't seem to be paying off in the way that other guys who are obsessed with their craft are.

I dont think drones have anything to do with it.

He doesnt listen to coaching or the catcher, shakes off too many pitches, doesnt do in the offseason what the coaching staff asks of him and the story is getting old. Only so far tallent will take you in the majors.

Well, if Clevinger gets a few more spot starts and looks good, what do we do with Bauer? Long relief?

I'd say he's more likely to take Tomlin's spot.

However, if everyone starts pitching closer to their career numbers, he won't be taking anyone's spot this year without some truly phenomenal performances.

Yan Gomes is now hitting .239 and there are at least six other Cleveland batters sporting lower BAs than Yan

Complete paradigm shift. All that we thought we knew about the old world no longer makes sense
