2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know you guys are joking.

But seriously, the wonderlic tells you very little about the mental capacity of an individual.

Theoretically not true and 100% your opinion.

Not sure I think they are the end all end all of IQ, but that is what it supposedly tests.

I have taken the wonderlic for work, and i took an IQ test as a child, the tests came with in 2 points of each other on having the same IQ, so it is fairly accurate.

Now if that accuracy has any validity is a whole different ball game.

Well I do not always trust ESPN, but if we go Trubisky then whoever decided on it should be fired and if it's Haslem, sell the team to someone who knows what they are doing. All I need to say.

Though I am also wondering if they are saying it just to see what people will offer for the number 1 pick as well. Trubisky isn't worth the number one.

Two samples from two completely different tests taken many years apart illustrates accuracy?

Now everyone can get a score! You get a score! You get a score! You get a score!

Yes, on my small sample size it is very accurate, but i then go on to say probably not much validity.

But once again by definition, yes the test was accurate when it comes to me personally

No. By definition it was precise.

Accuracy=validity
Precision=repeatability

Point on the precise part, so the tests were precise.

Besides, conceptually your IQ is supposed to remain relatively similar through most of your life until dementia sets in as it is a measure of your ability to learn, not a test of knowledge.

I suspect they are just hoping to get a team to offer some ridiculois package for him. 3 first rounders or something or whatver the rams gave up last year.

That or honestly if they are staying true to their guns they might end up trading no matter what.

Listening to Sashi right now and he said their board has been set since February. Sure sounds like they are picking Garrett at one if you read between the lines. Also name dropped Hooker and Howard.

I'm just skeptical because I have a similar anecdotal experience with an IQ test and the Wonderlic and mine were 30 points apart.

Aw hell yeah

Since edge is a fairly good position potentially in this draft, if a team over pays for the number one pick and we stay top 5 then I would think about doing the deal since we could still get some good players. Like if the Titans gave up 5, 18 plus something next season, you almost have to take it, but I am doubting that one, but otherwise you go with Garrett since there isn't anyone else who is worth it in my mind.

Hence why I think they are just making drama to make drama since there isn't any with the number one pick. I am sure they are listening to offers, but unless it's an offer that completely and utterly over pays for the number one pick, they need to stay put.

So many variables that go into one test, how you feel, how test was written, time of day is even a variable.

They are supposed to be an IQ test, but that doesn't mean much sometimes. I have always tested very well so I might have tested better than my actual IQ.

But i can see why it happened to you to be so far off, such a small sample size is hard to be accurate, and might get precision more by mistake than anything else.
