2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Nothing a week before the draft surprises me anymore. Sometimes players act like they are still carefree college Big Men On Campus in the real world, only to find out the real world is a cutthroat place for somebody about to get a huge lump sum of money. I also wouldn't be surprised to find out this was an attempt at extortion. If we hear about misconduct from Conley before this accusation, I'd be less prone to talk openly about a rape case lacking merit right off the bat, but the timing is pretty dubious for a player without a personal blemish beforehand.
 
Sooo... I'd take a flyer on Conley in the 6th. You can cut him later, but the value is outrageous if the allegations come to be unfounded. Anyone else?
 
Marshon Lattimore, Darron Lee, and Michael Thomas were all on Twitter earlier and openly dismissing this accusation. I know they are his friends but you have to think there's no way anyone in their respective circles would be OK with them coming out and defending him that strongly without knowing that this is an extortion attempt on Conley.

Plus Lattimore is a potential top 5 pick. There's no way he would come out and defend this without knowing the truth.

Absolutely agree. We have plenty of picks. If it turns out he did it, cut him. If he's cleared, you got a top 15 pick.
 
I mentioned it earlier, but the reports of Malik Hooker didn't make any sense based on initial reporting. It really only would have been Lattimore or Conley. Some of the reporting is just straight trash....

I'm not gonna pretend to know Gareon at all, but all reports say he's a pretty straight-laced kid from a great household. Not that that means he couldn't commit a rape, but it seems far-fetched to me. The timing of this charge combined with the details are odd......I guess the proof will truly be in the pudding though. She allegedly had a rape kit done whereas the witnesses say no sex occurred. My point being, if his DNA ends up on her, his witnesses become liabilities rather than assets.

The story is just so odd though....he asked her to participate in group sex, she said no, and then he just unbuttoned her pants and had forcible intercourse with her?
 
I personally think we like Watson for QB. No reason really other than my gut.

And the fact that he is the one guy that hasn't been linked/rumored to us lately. The Mahomes/Trubisky rumors are all a ploy...
