2017 NFL playoff thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm rooting for Atlanta, but wtf are the Packers doing? They're just letting Julio do whatever he wants, not even trying to cover him.

Rough day for Rodgers. I never figured they'd be shut out at this point. Yikes.

Just not a fair fight. Atlanta is really good, and Rodgers is out there with banged up somebodys and healthy nobodys. It's a testament to how great he is that they got this far.

Can Atlanta win against Pats?

I hardly know anything about NFL except few players and teams but I absolutely detest Patriots fans and Brady. So, was asking!

Yes. Definitely. They'll be massive underdogs. I think Brady will put up points, but I'm not sure there's a defense left that can contain Atlanta's offense.

They are very difficult to cover. I think Atlanta can beat them. But, it is Tom Brady. It's hard to count him out, especially against a very suspect defense.

And Bill Belichick, although I can't stand him, is the greatest coach ever. If someone can figure a way to at least neutralize this offense. It's him. NE's defense is much better than Green Bay's. GB d is awful. Look how they covered today, guys were 5 yards open at times.

Yeah, have heard about Atalanta's offense being elite.

Also, how good a chance do Steelers have against Pats?

The Steelers have less of a chance IMO against Atlanta. If they win. Atlanta will shed them to pieces. So, maybe everyone should root for the Steelers. I know that might be hard to swallow. But, New England is definitely a threat to Atlanta.

Their defense has been surprisingly good this year. They got much better cover corners IMO of all the teams remaining. I think they could at least neutralize Atlanta a little, and Brady is Brady. So, if I'm Atlanta, I definitely rather player Pittsburgh.

I think New England will score with ease against Pittsburgh. I expect them to win.

But I thought Rodgers would score with ease today against the Falcons, and he didn't. Football is a funny sport.

No, I meant. How good a possibility is Steelers defeating Patriots?

I don't have any favourite team yet. I like Rodgers but in terms of teams, I am currently "Anyone But Patriots". :chuckle:

Not very good IMO. I am not sure they can generate enough pressure defensively to beat Brady.

To beat New England, you got to dominate their offensive line. They'll get some on him, I am not sure it will be enough though.

Would be interesting to see how close this game might have been if Crosby hadn't missed that first FG and Ripkowski hadn't fumbled (and that drive ended in a TD). Could have been 17-10 with the Packers receiving the kickoff.

Granted, I don't think the Packers have any chance of stopping the Falcons. But it at least would be interesting to see if they could make a play.

Of course if NE played like they did last week they could lose. That's how upsets happen. They gave Houston gimme turnovers. But Osweiller is so fucking bad it didn't matter. What an awful signing that was. He's awful.

If they play the same way against a million times better offense/QB, they go down.

But after last week, I'd be surprised if they duplicate that performance. Brady has just two picks on the season. It'd be surprising if he had another two pick performance like he did last week against a much inferior defense.
