Cool, sac fly... just what we need.

Thanks Tomlin, you have me hating a run.

Well let's see how Tomlin pitches the rest of the game. I am hoping we still get 5-6 innings out of him. It would be best for us at the end of the day to get a lot of innings out of him. Though he cannot keep giving up the HRs.

5-6 innings?? I don't even want to see another 5-6 pitches

Tomlin? Hahahahahahaha.

Should have been out of that inning.

Early season woes.

Chief to the rescue.

Well he isn't making it very far today it seems. Maybe Tomlin needs to throw some pitches outside of the strike zone lol

I'm just laughing at the "he cannot keep giving up the HRs" part...giving up HRs is his M.O. Almost always in the top 5 for HRs per 9 innings. Just most starts you hope they are solo shots.

He's just getting smoked around the yard period right now though.

I can't believe that guy pitched so well in the playoffs.

Tomlin's I think greatest problem is he throws too many strikes! He doesn't walk anyone and attacks guys, but with his less than 90 fastball, if he cannot hit his targets he gets shelled. He needs to change something and actually end up throwing more balls. He a team option for next season for 3 mil, so even if we put him into the pen, he isn't costing us too much.

Honest question, how long do we stick with Yan? He's just a complete 0 offensively and Berto is the better defensive catcher as is.

I dream of a Yan Gomes at bat against Josh Tomlin. Something would have to give, right?

We have to give him more time and defensively we are about the same with both of them. Francona wants to see Yan turn it around so it will be awhile before Perez starts over Yan.
