Andrelton Simmons. Not even close too.

Indians are a lock for 3 awards:

AL Cy Young

AL SS Silver Slugger

AL 3B Silver Slugger

They have chances at 2 others:

AL 1B Gold Glove

AL DH Silver Slugger

How many games does a player have to play at a position to be considered for the Silver slugger? Ramirez may not get the 3B silver slugger cause of the amount of time at 2B is what i am afraid of so I am wondering what would qualify or disqualify someone for that award.

DH Silver Slugger ends up being Nelson Cruz

Dodgers losing to Rockies 5-0 in 2nd. My Jobu curse is working.....

Maybe someone like @sportscoach will know this. Why doesn't Kipnis play left field and Jackson play center? Isn't left easier to learn?

If memory recalls correctly you want your corner outfielders to have strong arms. But i dont recall why.

Bimbo or b00bie would be better to ask, Usually you do want your corner to have stronger arms and I think the reason why they are having Kipnis doing center is because the need is at CF. We have solid LF/RF OFs, but we are lacking depth now at CF with Zimmer out and guys like Chisenhall being on the mend. Jackson isn't a plus CF and is stronger at the corners. I am thinking Francona is hoping with Kipnis's experience in the past could help him transition to a solid CF (at least no worse than who we have). It is more or less Francona trying to get Kipnis in the lineup while filling in a slight need.

Astros beat the Red Sox. The ideal AL East tie is still possible.

Also...
1. Spin of the ball would make LF very difficult to pickup on the fly
2. The Indians have given up the 3rd fewest balls hit to CF in the MLB = fewer chances

101 wins !!!
Second most amount of wins in the team's 117 year history

Now obviously we've been around for many seasons that didn't have 162 games, but even on a winning percentage basis it's still the 4th best season in team history
