Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Him being the opening day starter

I hope not.

But Tito has an ungodly boner for him as a player for some reason...couple that in with Gonzalez having an option, and I'm a bit worried he'll be on the Opening Day roster period.

Whether he starts or not is up to Tito. If he wants to move Ramirez to 2B while Kip is out, we're good...if he wants to leave Ramirez at 3B, we're in trouble...

But he does need to fuck off already.

Mike Aviles was really bad, and right after they finally let him go, they ended up putting a poor man's Mike Aviles on the roster.

Not a poor man's...a homeless man's.

Michael Martinez is one of the worst hitters, statistically, in MLB history.

I agree on the hate on MM, but if you wanted Yandy at his spot or perhaps Urshela on opening day, wouldn't that affect their prospect status ? I mean with how many years of organizational control (options).

I remember a situation with Carrasco years ago where we added him AFTER the season started rather than have him on opening day roster since it affected how many years we can use options on him.

I'm half talking out of my ass since I'm at work, but I'd like to know.

Gio has already debuted, so his timetable doesn't matter as a prospect...his service clock already started, and he's no longer considered a prospect anymore because he exceeded rookie limits in 2015. We already know how long we control him.

And yeah. If you hold a player down in the minors for at least 12 days of the season, it's impossible for them to reach the 172 days it takes to accrue a full season of service time, so you are granted an extra year of team control with the player. What the Cubs did with Bryant a few years ago.

Of course, the concern with doing that is you will most likely make the player a Super 2 player if he manages to stick with the MLB club all season (have to go to arbitration before the player hits 3 years of service)...Naquin, who we have an extra year of team control with because he only posted 163 days of service, is going to be a Super 2 player, for example.

They could decide to have Diaz up to start the season until Kip is back, but then place him back in the minors for a few months in order to give them the 7th year of control and lower the odds of him being a Super 2.

But we just need Diaz to help bridge the gap to Kipnis, which makes this situation interesting...of course, I'd much prefer him in the UTIL role over Gonzalez and Martinez, but this organization tends to value the 7th year, and avoiding Super 2s...what they did with Lindor and is why we waited so long to debut him (he's a 7 year guy, and a non Super 2 guy), and which is why Naquin was the 1st rookie to make the Opening Day roster in a few decades I believe.

This guy for now should never be around a bat again at this level. I am sorry but his approach is like watching a toddler shoot a basketball.

I am not Bimbo but I will say this. Yandy makes sense as it gives him the experience and he can hit as well as Urshela and he is maybe more made for the utility role. Urshela is a hard one to play cards on as I feel he needs to be a final product where as Yandy can be a sold utility guy for teams in the future. Yandy will never be a star but he can be useful to teams. Urshela has star potential if he can learn to hit at the MLB level at least for average, and he has some power to boot. I would go with Yandy in the role it makes to much sense right now.

Yandy and Urshela for the most part are opposites, Yandy is a great hitter, but needs to work on defense, Urshela is usually a very good defender, but has holes in his swing (to bad we cannot get Urshela to swing like Yandy, then he would be an all star lol)

Seen Clint Frazier was trending, he flipped over a bullpen wall chasing a foul ball giving every Yankee fan an heart attack.

They really made the kid cut his red mop.

Saw.

And fuck teams who ban facial hair and "distracting hair cuts"...what kind of Boy Scout camp, religious college bullshit is that...think its only the Yankees now since the Marlins did way with it, but what a dumb rule.

It's a dress code. Most employers have one.

Probably the least of Clint's worries.

Religious bullishit??

Anyway, my employer makes us keep our beards less than 1in....he'll a year ago we weren't even allowed to have beards. Was almost a deal breaker when I took the job 3 years ago. Had to change my priorities due to having two kids and a wife.

So they did not allow you to hide your true sexual preference and made you marry a guy?

Religious COLLEGE...you know, one where you can't have the opposite sex in your dorm past a certain time, where you have to leave your door open at a 45 degree angle when the opposite sex is in your room, where you get fined for cussing...
