Don't get me wrong, I think they're a good team. They just didn't look impressive, particularly their QB.Meh, bad weather and delays makes things sloppy.
A&M never was ranked. So 0 ranked opponents all season. That is remarkable. So unless Texas AM stays ranked, Clemson might not face a ranked team till the ACC Champ game. Likely that even with as a 1 loss champ they make the playoff, but if we get a 2014 scenario where they are being compared with other 1 loss conference champs, they could be in trouble.

Unfortunately, I think they are going to get the benefit of the doubt because of how good they've been the last few years.
A&M winning that game would have been huge. Clemson is almost guaranteed a playoff spot at this point, unless Va Tech is able to beat them in the ACC CG.
Oh, I'm definitely not...it's early, but Clemson does not look as good this year as they have the last couple years and VT looks better than they have the last couple years.I know you aren’t counting VT out of that game. That game should be close.
I never put a ton of stock in what they were ranked at the time, especially early in the year. If Texas AM wins 9/10 games and are ranked at the end of the year, I have no problem saying Clemson beat a ranked team.A&M never was ranked. So 0 ranked opponents all season. That is remarkable.

Right, but my point is I don't see A&M ever being ranked at any point this season.I never put a ton of stock in what they were ranked at the time, especially early in the year. If Texas AM wins 9/10 games and are ranked at the end of the year, I have no problem saying Clemson beat a ranked team.
It's why sportwriters rank the crap sec programs like the Mississipis or Arkansas or South Carolina or even the bad Auburn teams. They end up 7-5 at best, but it takes 2 or 3 losses to drop them out, so SEC teams get credit for ranked wins.
Maybe. I am not a huge believer in Auburn or LSU. The Mississippi's are fine. Arkansas is a trainwreck. They don't play UGA. Getting 9 wins is certainly possible.Right, but my point is I don't see A&M ever being ranked at any point this season.
Personally, I think the TAMU/Clemson game told us more about Clemson not being very good than it did about TAMU being good. I'd be very surprised if they went 9-3.Maybe.
