2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is such a fucking cop out by you. :chuckle:

You’ve said you don’t even think he’s the best back in this draft and over and over have highlighted his “vision” as being poor.

Other have said it’s a similar situation to Trent. Numerous times actually. So yes, they are.

Which is it, is Barkley good or bad. Is he an elite RB or not? Because if he’s a 1,000 yard rusher he’s likely a 1,600 all purpose yardage player.

I think he can be good, yes. If he's able to improve his flaws.

He'll never, however, be worthy of that high a pick IMO.

Which apparently causes your brain to detach from your body.

Do you think that's worth the 4th overall pick? I personally do not. If you do that may be where we disagree

Yes...... easily....

Bell had 1900 all purpose yards and is one of the most important playmakers on one of th best offenses in the league.

And Barkley is 100x the home run threat that Bell is. He’s an elite playmaker for a team expecting to start a very young QB next year.

C'mon mannn.

This video reminds me of how my wife tries to start arguments...she throws random shit out there hoping to ignite a reaction....

....come to think of it, my dog does the same thing when he finds an unguarded sock- grab it, find me, look at me, then take off running. Little bastard.

And ya know, my boss plays the same game...no, not the sock thing, but saying random shit and hoping to spark a response...(except he doesn't run away).

My life is like living on the internet...surrounded by jerk offs who like to start shit then run away and hide.

1600 rush/rec yards is pretty excellent

Penciling him in for those 600 rec yards seems premature though

Barkley doesn’t actually gain yards (nearly) as consistently as other prospects. There’s actual evidence to support that.

But it’s probably not his fault so apparently evidence isn’t worth discussing.

But he remains a threat to hit the home run.

Any. Given. Play.

(Which actually means rarely)

Yeah then this is where we disagree.

I just don't value a do it all back as highly as you. I see no issue with having a stable of backs each having specialties.

Duke averages 580 receiving yards per season. Get a bell cow 1st and second down back who specializes in between the tackles running to complement him and you've got your 1,000 rushing yards.

Guice+Duke for instance. That pair I believe would be able to put up 1800 total yards between them consistently. The league has been trending towards a stable of specialists. If you don't have a guy like Bell who is a consistent 2K total yard threat I'm good with going to the stable

Fournette was on pace for 1600 yards last year had he played all 16 and he was kinda underwhelming to me last year.

Bell is 100x the consistent runner Barkley is.

Since we're sourcing the Department of Shitty Hyperbole now...

So can I put you in the camp that’s Barkley IS NOT the best RB in this draft class? Or is not an elite RB?

I just want to start tallying up the names so when he fucking years shit up this year we can come back to it

I am plainly not a fan of the "well he can hit a homerun at any moment!" argument. Like... Yeah, Bobby Rainey has that ability as well. Jerome Harrison had that ability.

Adrian Foster was one of the best in the game, yet he wasn't drooled all over because he "wasn't a home run threat".

It's like people who are only concerned about QB arm strength; how often are you slinging balls 60 yards in the air? How often do you need a homerun run? The homerun ability is there throughout the draft; it can't be the main reason you take a guy so early. You take a guy because you can depend on what he will get you, not what he theoretically can get you.

You know.... you actually make me laugh consistently when you say shit like this and I don’t even think you mean to.

We don’t know how consistent Barkley is as a runner because his o line sucked ass and piss.

But if he’s a 1600 total yards back and can break it open any play I’d say that’s elite. I’ll take that on my team.

I don’t give a fuck what you tally up. I’ll bet a year’s salary he gets outrushed by 2-3 players taken at least 15-20 slots after him in the 2018-2019 season that’ll have a better YPC.

Sure, but only 6 RBs had 500+ rec yards last year. Penciling him for 600 seems premature.

I’m not really penciling him for 600 but 1600 total isn’t out of his realm.

Could be 1100 rush 500 rec, could be 1200 rush 400 rec.
