2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I cannot believe Penny went in the 1st. He isn't that type of running back. OTOH, I didnt love Michel like some so I'm fine with that.

So much talent still sitting there. Like, mid first talent most years.

Rashaad was my favorite RB, he is going to be a stud, Michel second.

I think we have to take Landry, need some depth at LB. Opposite Collins, he will be very good.

Landry is a situational pass rusher in the nfl. Can’t set the edge can’t stop the run. I hope we go Connor Williams, Hubbard or Jackson here.

Who do people think we'll take with 33rd & 35th picks?

Landry and Hurst in some order would be fantastic. Assuming a clean bill of health of course.

I would like to see Guice. Feel like he dropped too far.

Beyond that I am thinking the best physical specimen you can find on either side of the ball. Nfl size and speed is what you need in the big leagues.

Positions I don’t think they’ll consider: QB, FB, TE, LG, C, RG, RT, NT, MLB, OLB, CB, SS

Positions I think they’ll consider/draft today: DE, DT, WR, RB, FS.

So some possibilities are Harold Landry, Mo Hurst, Courtland Sutton, Mike Gesicki (move to WR), Derrius Guice, Connor Williams, Sam Hubbard, Christian Kirk, Tyrell Cosby.

So, anyone able to trace the source of the leak of info on Mayfield just prior to the draft? Not that its that important....but I believed it was smoke. Actually thought it could be a tactic to find out who the leaker is/might be. Low and behold, I was bamboozled.

Considering it was said that Hue was told on Wednesday who the pick would be and the Baker news started coming out around then, I think it is fair to hypothesize it might have been Hue? Hee hee?

Though it is a good way to find the leaker, it has a pretty huge potential downside. Let's say they deliberately told Hue the wrong guy, and it didn't leak. Now Hue and his staff know that they were lied to deliberately by the front office, and probably Jimmie as well. That would be such an embarrassment for the franchise that I just couldn't see them taking that risk.

And actually, it's a downside no matter what. If they don't leak, you've sown undeserved mistrust and embarrassment that will certainly go public. And if they did leak...what are Jimmie and the FO going to do about it anyway? They're certainly not going to fire the staff right before the season begins, which means that all you've done is publicly discredit and embarrass your coaching staff before the season even begins.

The lying to Hue thing sounds clever only if you don't think about it too closely.
