I think he’s gonna end up in the pros pretty soon to be honest. He will be at AAA by the seasons end and next season with open roster spots, he could make the team out of spring training!

Pitchers have a limited number of innings in their arms, you don’t want to have them in the minors any longer than you have to. That’s why you never hear anything about service clock regarding pitchers.

Pitchers do have a limited number of innings but it is still really strange to see any pitcher before their 21st birthday as well in real life. It’s rare in the current at least.

It's rare to see guys this young in the majors because they don't typically dominate at such a young age, or because they're still in college.

Triston McKenzie is pretty damn rare. So were Felix Hernandez, CC Sabathia, Julio Urias, Julio Teheran, Clayton Kershaw, and Madison Bumgarner just to name a few guys that have pitched prior to their 21st birthday in the MLB.

It's silly to think the Indians would hold back a pitcher if he's dominating AA just because he's a certain age.

AAA is a meaningless stop for prospects, especially pitchers. Once they've proven themselves at AA, it's only a matter of time. That could happen as early as this year if he's healthy.

With the fact that guys like Bieber currently are above him in the depth charts, I doubt we will see him this season in the pros period barring injuries. Now with 5-6 openings on the team next season and a ton of guys going to be out of options, next season will be the year he could make his debut.

I am not saying it’s impossible but it’s not likely for him to crack the roster at any point this season especially if he misses time with an injury.

I stilll don’t see him into the pros until Sept of 19 at earliest. 2020 is when I feel he could possibly stay in the rotation full time. I am not gonna complain if he shows up earlier, that’s just the time table I personally have set for him.

I just feel for this season with Morimando, Plutko, Bieber etc on the depth chart above McKenzie for this season, it is just really a long shot. Also with guys like Salazar, Merritt, (Anderson later in the season) could be reinforcements if they get healthy, plus we could look from outside the organization to bolster our pitching staff (like we inquired on the price for Gray last season), he is just a long shot to me. Now in 19 when Tomlin is a free agent, off chance of trading Carrasco and then guys are out of options, there will be an opening for him to make the roster out of spring training if he has a strong 18.

Being in Triple A doesn’t put them ahead of Bieber on the depth chart. Anderson isn’t a starter anymore.

Plutko couldn’t get anyone out last year.

I’m all in on Bieber, but I have a feeling that quite a number of teams will be asking about him around the deadline. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if we see him up here at some point this season making a start.

Tiny frame, not sure if he's a long-term starter. But his numbers speak for themselves thus far.

One run allowed through 12 innings with 16 K in two starts.
