2018 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Goddamn, I love when @Rich gets in roast mode. There's no preamble, no stupid name calling or corny jokes, just straight to the point.

I have no idea what you're talking about which isn't a new thing. You're talking about the most ISO heavy team in the NBA not running ISO. Like the other day when you were bitching about Kevin Love doing something when Love wasn't even on the court. I honestly don't know if you watch these games or what?
I quoted what i was referring to

I was off the Houston thing cause we obviously not gonna agree on that

Seems like you just wanna argue man

You been drinking?

Rich and Gouri are two of the best debaters/arguers on the site. I try to steer clear of them because I'd get my ass whooped and would have to resort to my shitty one liner jokes.

I think I about shit myself the first time @gourimoko gave me the multi-quote.

What i will say is the level of physical play I’m seeing allowed both ways in absolutely NOT being allowed both ways in our series

Love specifically was being officiated like he was a worthless pile of shit

Any contact he got was a foul

I don’t even get your supposed to attempt to play D with how the Celtics refs officiate him

No, I literally don't know what this post means.

if you keep saying it you have a 50% chance of being right and sounding like your smart lol

Those same ppl would have closed lips if the Warriors were down 3-1

If I keep saying what I have a 50% chance of being right about what? Who would have closed their mouths if the Warriors were down 3-1, and why does that matter?

The point was every time this series Golden State has even went on a semi-run, there's like 3 posters who show up with a "lol can't believe you guys thought Houston could win" and then Houston, you know, won. And we STILL can't get a "maybe I was wrong about Houston."

Whether they win this series or not (and they would if CP3 was healthy, let's make no mistake about that) the idea that Houston "doesn't have a chance" has been definitively proven wrong. It's just a bad take at this point. And anyone still clinging to it makes no sense to me.

If Golden State is at least mostly awake, Boston might not break 90 in any game against them next round.

Good game by GSW in the final game of the season at Oracle.

Wow. Has a team ever gone up 17 and lost by 30 in the conference finals?

@PIP Klay Thompson - 35 points, 9(!) threes
Durant and Steph will murder you by shooting you in the head... Klay Thompson will murder you by 1000 papercuts and you don’t realize it’s happening....

The funny thing is I actually very much dislike watching Houston play. Two players going 1on1 every time down the court is boring. Harden is boring to watch. I generally just watched their box scores this year.

But I'm drawn in only because that style, with that roster, is how to beat Golden State.

And instead of saying Houston never had a shot, let's just all admit we were wrong about them, and go about trying to build a team like that. Cause that's how you beat Golden State.

You get a bunch of guys who can switch around the perimeter and then at least two guys who can play isolation basketball to neutralize the Warriors wanting to switch everything. And you play boring ass, grind it out, 1on1 on ball and hoist a ton of 3s.

Kawhi is obviously the big dog.

But if not him, we could make it work with someone like Lillard if we could also get one of their wings like AMinu or Harkless. Kemba Walker, while not the same type of scorer, is a far grittier defender and can offer resistance on that end that Kyrie never could.

But we need to actively seek out big, long wings who can shoot and defend. So, Batum and Walker, or Lillard and Aminu. These things work and give us a shot as long as LeBron is playing like this again next year.

The trick is finding a player like Capela. I'm hoping Nance can be like 75% of that next year.

The key thing to takeaway though is this: they are NOT invincible. They aren't. I know after last summer I thought they were, along with everyone else.

But their bench sucks. They whiffed on all of their acquisitions this year. Iguodala isn't just hurt, he's flat not nearly as impactful anymore and all of a sudden Draymond Green is VERY afraid to shoot the ball, which has kinda gone unnoticed. He doesn't shoot 3s anymore. Or at least he hasn't been doing it much in the post-season.

You'll never be favored, but there are ways to give yourself a legit shot.
