2018 RCF NFL Mock Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
With the 132nd pick in the 2018 Rcf mock draft
The Philadelphia Eagles select

Oren Burks, ILB, Vanderbilt

Height: 6-2. Weight: 228. Arm: 32.75. Hand: 9.
40 Time: 4.59.
Projected Round (2018): 3-4.

3/25/18:
Sources from multiple teams have told me that Burks impressed them during 2017. They like his combination of size, quickness and instincts. He could be a nice mid-round value pick.

Burks totaled 82 tackles with seven tackles for a loss, one interception and three passes broken up in 2017. In 2016, he formed a potent linebacking tandem with Zach Cunningham. That season, Burks notched 59 tackles with 3.5 sacks and six passes broken up. He displayed some coverage and ball skills over his whole career, making six more breakups as a sophomore and seven as a freshman.

@MGMT is on the clock.

When I get home around 6-7.

Great. Now I have to stay up all night worrying about whether or not @MGMT got home safe or not

GMs are really milking the clock this year. If you have time to write "I will be home at such and such a time" you also have time to write one first name and one last name of a college football player.

I have two strong punters who are overdue to get drafted. They really flip the field. Tick tock @MGMT .

after the 133rd pick in the 2018 NFL draf, the Green Bay Packers select:

Ja’Von Rolland Jones, OLB, Arkansas State.

Rolland-Jones was a star the moment he stepped on the field at Arkansas State. As a freshman in 2014, he recorded 7.5 sacks and 12.0 tackles for loss. After two years totaling 21.5 sacks and 32 tackles for loss, the star edge-rusher had 13 sacks and 19 tackles for loss in his final collegiate season. Talk about production. On film, Rolland-Jones is a rangy but polished pass-rush technician who almost always initiates contact and knows how to counter en route to the quarterback. And he's clearly an effective finisher. He's not the bendiest around the edge but uses his length -- 33-inch arms -- very well and plays with a high motor.

That awkward moment when you tried selecting a player that was taken 110 slots prior even though you reviewed the selection list three times.

Sorry for the delay gents. I promise to probably let it happen again.

@MGMT if it does happen again @Randolphkeys will draft you a punter lol

@Stark is on the clock

@PIP you are in the hole

@Los216 in the hole!

Ps. If the pick isn’t done in a timely fashion, you will be selecting a punter, just a fair warning lol

Time for me to drop one of my all time favorite obscure Cleveland Browns trivia facts:

In 1977 and 1978, the Browns drafted a punter in back to back second rounds. The one they took in 1977 in the fucking second round actually held out in a contract dispute and got traded to Detroit. Then the second punter in two years who they took in the fucking second round only lasted three years in the NFL.

I bet you thought the Browns ineptitude couldn't possibly surprise you anymore. Boom.

With the 135th pick in the 2018 NFL draft—The Los Angeles Rams of Baltimore select: SCOTT QUESSENBERRY C, UCLA

Analysis: The two things I know how to do is snort coke and snag a high level quarterback and find a way to snap their necks and shoulders.. But since I’m doing a favor for the Rams I figured I’d keep their fragile gun slinger upright..That’s why we focused a couple picks on the O-line...

For years we had one of the best centers in the game in Indianapolis and Quessenberry will be no different here... You are welcome St.Angeles... Back to Indianapolis I go !!

WITH THE 136TH PICK IN THE 2018 RFC MOCK DRAFT

THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SELECT

BO SCARBROUGH RB ALABAMA

902733070.jpg.0.jpg

Overview:

Scarbrough can be a runaway locomotive, but he needs a long track to get rolling or his effectiveness will drop sharply. Scarbrough won't make tacklers miss, but he is a brute force who can add yardage to the end of runs. Scarbrough is a one-cut runner who is best in an under-center rushing attack where he can get carries in bunches. He has the talent to be an effective NFL running back, but durability concerns and a lack of pass catching ability could cap where teams are willing to consider drafting him. His explosive testing at the Combine could intrigue teams who had written him off previously.

Strengths:
  • Tapered, powerful physique
  • Is a punisher behind his pads
  • Can absorb solid blows and keep runs alive
  • Will always fall forward once he gets a head of steam behind him
  • Plays with steady tempo
  • Has surprising ability to gather weight and cut sharply downhill as outside zone runner
  • Generally comfortable making reads and choosing track from I-formation
  • Tackling him high ends poorly for defenders
  • Able to create additional yardage through power and long speed
  • Able to batter defenses late in game and then hit the chunk play
  • Short yardage touchdown specialist who can leap up-and-over the pile
  • Had dominant stretch against Auburn, Florida, Washington and Clemson late last year
  • Can thump in blitz pick-up
  • Hasn't had to handle a heavy workload thanks in part to Alabama's committee approach
Weaknesses:
  • Plays with upright running style
  • Frame too accessible for big hitters looking for a slab of ribs
  • Durability is a major concern
  • Has suffered through multiple lower body injuries dating back to high school
  • Long strider who needs a long runway to get to top speed
  • Doesn't have bend and footwork to string moves together
  • Too big and leggy to counter sudden penetration in backfield and needs runs to stay on schedule
  • Impatient with a penchant for crowding lead blockers and eliminating his own escape routes
  • Burst and feel for running lanes is below average
  • Defenders got hands on him much earlier in the carry than his teammate Damien Harris
  • Missing second-level vision to play chess against linebackers
