2018 Series #37 | Indians @ White Sox | August 10th, 11th, and 12th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jesus, Rodon is no fucking joke though

Can’t even really be mad at Ramirez for giving up the homer. Wasn’t like he grooved a meatball right down the pipe. Pitch was 96 at the belt and out of the strike zone away.

Very few players in the league are hitting that out.

Rodon has been really good most of the year and it continued last night.

Oh well. Get em back today.

Of course not, why would you care what the stats that prove your point wrong say?
Why are you so defensive about this team? The guy's right; the Indians are far too erratic to be counted on while the Lindor/Ramirez combo was rendered impotent against a lackluster Yankees pitching staff last year.

If Lindor/Ramirez are shut down again, we aren't going anywhere, regardless of who is hitting in the rest of the lineup. Those two need to be on this time.

There are literally 2 teams in baseball this year who have been better at scoring runs than the Indians

If you want to judge 2 remarkable talents based on a 5 game series then you probably just aren't going to give this team any credit regardless

Like I just don't understand, do you guys think there are teams out there batting 9 Lindor's? Even the Red Sox who are by far the best team in baseball have lineup holes

The expectations are unrealistic when being the 3rd best at scoring runs is somehow looked at as a deficient offense

Here's a really good example of why so many people are frustrated.

There are a ton of people who are bashing Kipnis, etc and scream that we need a bat. One of the "bats" they want is Adam Jones.

Adam Jones has an OPS of .745, Kipnis since June 1 has an OPS of .748 (and a career OPS of .751).

Even if there was a bat out there who was significantly better, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter in a playoff series. The difference between an OPS of .700 and an OPS of .800 is huge in terms of how good a player has been on the year, but in a series where you'll only get about 20 AB's, it makes no significant difference.

If you say "Hey, the Indians could upgrade their outfield" literally nobody would disagree with you. We all want to improve our OF right now. Starting Melky in RF is a disaster waiting to happen (especially defensively). Get an upgrade for roughly zero cost after the trade deadline? Sure!

But if you say the Indians can't win it all without a bat, I'm sorry, but you come across as an idiot. The chances of this team winning it all don't really move much. If you win, you're going to win because your strengths. Right now, that's pitching (which is why we're trying to improve out defense with someone like Martin) and the fact that we're the third best offensive team in baseball to go along with that elite pitching is something truly awesome.

Fat boy is going to get chewed out for not hustling on his base hit! The guy can’t hit worth a shit and doesn’t want to hustle on a “liner’l to left field.

That goddamn bottom of the order

Is there such an ranking system that factors every team's bottom order and shows how valuable they are to team wins? I'd love to see where we rank in the league.

Maybe you can take 7-9 of every lineup and add their collective WAR's?

Holy shit Kipnis got a double.

Kipnis is a pretty easy Indian to bash

Since ASB:

His slash is .274 OBP, .333 SLG, .607 OPS (19 games)

We need the guy to get it going, simple as that.

Hope that’s nothing more than a cunty bruise

His ankle is probably going to look like a grapefruit tomorrow. Hopefully that’s the extent of it
