Speaking of Kipnis. neither he nor EE are hitting their weight. They are the 2 highest paid players on the team eating up about 25% of their entire payroll. The Indians tried to dump Kipnis over the winter but they didn't try hard enough.
The sad part is that Tito's stubbornness and blind allegiance to vets is once again hurting the team. We watched Tito parade gas can Brian Shaw (7.5 ERA in 23 innings for the Rockies so far this year) out to the mound last year way too many times even though he was by the numbers, the team's worst relief pitcher.
Tito should be hitting either Naquin or Gomes in the 2 hole until Kipnis wakes up. EE shouldn't get a pass either Drop him down as well.
The Indians outstanding bullpen got even better when Shaw left the team. Unfortunately, the team somehow added in a washed up Belisle to the corp. The Clippers have a lights out lefty (Beliveau) who will probably replace Belisle within the coming weeks.
It's been great watching Jose come to life. Been saying for 2 years that Lindor can't do one thing on the baseball filed better than Jose. Nothing. A weird stat on Ramirez...he hit 102 doubles over the past 2 seasons, and has yet to hit even one so far this season.
I thought the tribe would have 6 pitchers make the All Star team this season. If the voting was held today, 5 would make it and Bauer would be on the bubble.
And about Brantley. All the nay sayers criticizing the team for spending 12 million on him this year. That's one of the biggest bargains in baseball.
