Well, yeah, he is really good.

Oh, you mean his bat. I don’t really care about that since he only plays 1-2 times each week. He’s an ideal back up catcher in my opinion.

The language barrier is something that he might not ever be able to overcome. He’s from the same town as Jose and they speak hillbilly Spanish and nobody can understand what they’re saying.... even the Dominican guys.

Perez is a very good defensive catcher. Between Yan hitting well again and Perez only having to play a couple times per week at most, he's perfectly fine as the backup catcher.

Mejia can’t even play right field with Roberto on the roster (despite the team needing outfield help)... The fact Mejia can’t out-perform Perez (or Gomes) is beyond concerning considering he’s allegedly an elite level prospect ?

But I’ll keep pretending Mejia is the real deal cause it’s the thing to do..
