If Dorsey is confirming it ahead of time, that leads me to believe he has zero intentions of letting him leave without a contract.

Personally when you’re dealing wit the player, the agent, and other suitors, I would read that as very positive and not as a downgrade from anything Steve D. has said before about McCoy. No guarantees of course, to me feeling like your odds are 50/50 is better now Han feeling like “you’re in the mix”

I was interested at two years, $16-18 million with $8-9 million guaranteed. Any higher and I don’t like the cap ramifications.
