2019 Browns Off Season/Roster Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Over the last couple of weeks/months several articles have been posted that pass rush is very overrated in today's NFL. The money positions on defense are now in the secondary.

The browns already have invested a huge amount of resources in their defensive line. While I would love McCoy on the team (especially as an Oklahoma fan) I'm not going to lose sleep if he signs else where. Especially knowing that by signing him the browns are eating into cap room that can be used in future years.

Yep. It’s hard to say that if he wants to go to a winner BMore isn’t it, but we are. Look, we look good on paper, but it’s been over 11 years since we’ve been over .500. Don’t be stupid. BMore and Pittsburgh are better franchises than we are. Period.

This is some cucked pussy shit :chuckle:

Needless to say, I strongly disagree with your assessment on the state of the AFC North.

Maybe the Ravens will show McCoy some of Lamar Jackson’s tape from OTA’s and he’ll book the first flight back to Cleveland.

Like... I really do get it.

The Browns were the drizzling shits for a really long time. They've were pretty much the worst organization in the NFL and arguably the worst in all of the major sports since 1999.

But all that's over now. They finally found a QB who's going to be a star which is really all you need. Combine that probable star QB with several other blue chip talents and a strong front office (still TBD on coaching staff, but I'm optimistic) and what's not to like?

I just can't deal with this woe is me bullshit. Get the fuck over it. The past is the past and it's beyond time to leave it there.

Interesting to see McCoy spend the night in Baltimore. Makes me a little nervous, so I asked Lane on the Twitter if that was cause of concern or what.

I know Lane's reputation isn't great around here, but I enjoy when he gives out some stuff over his Twitter.

I personally believe him here, as well. It does make some sense.. McCoy also had dinner Thursday and spent the night here going into Friday for the meeting with the Browns. According to reports, McCoy had some questions and got them answered. He even felt better about the situation than before.

It would just be a massive addition to this line, and defense in general. He'd need to stay healthy, but with the depth the team created already? I don't see him being overworked by any means.

Which to me, has to be a selling point for McCoy. I can see Kitchens and Wilks letting him know the gameplan would be to use him as needed, to save his body and energy for later on in the game, or the season/playoffs.

Exciting to think about adding him, for sure. Still gonna be nervous until someone with legit sources confirms they believe he will be a Brown, though.

I'm expecting something to break tomorrow.
