2019 Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't think you should worry about age, just if they can produce in the role you have for them. Not every spot on the roster needs to be someone who might have potential if this or that happens. Some of those spots should be guys who can play roles asked of them.

Sexton, Cedi, Nance and Zizic are your "young developing players" with Preston on their heels. Plus you have under 26 guys like Hood and Clarkson. That's enough. Cavs will get younger when the right deal for Hill or Korver or Love presents itself.

With Beasely I am not worried about age. I would be worried about adding another guy like JR

agreed. With all of the young players we do need some vets. And it is a cliche but we need some high character vets for a year or two. hate to see the young guys get into bad habits

Thoughts on Corey Brewer? We could use a big wing like him who can play some defense, and he seems like he'd be a positive locker room guy too. If we can somehow dump Clarkson and JR, a Sexton-Hill-Cedi-Korver-Brewer perimeter rotation would offer a nice blend of offense and defense, youth and experience going into the season.

Don't mind it..

Good for the transition game. He used to love getting outlets from Kevin

Oh true, I totally forgot about that aspect of it. Sexton-Hill-Cedi-Love-Nance starting with Korver-Brewer-Zizic off the bench is a rotation that could sneak into the playoffs if the youngsters play well. Not sure that's the best thing in the big picture, but would be fun to watch.

I would be happy saying “two for the Brew “. Again. Joe Tait/Jim Brewer

The only problem I have with bring in Brewer is he looked completely useless for 2 years before he got to OKC. Im not sure if it was going back to his college coach, the increase in minutes to 28 per game vs 15 minutes in Houston and the Lakers, or whatever else it could be.

A lot of people on here said his career was over. Did he have injuries at all?

Not sure why he struggled with the Rockets, but that Lakers team was a graveyard for veterans with Brewer, Calderon, Deng, and Mozgov all self-destructing.

I don't think he had a injury but I think most thought the game had evolved to make him unplayable. His 3 point shot was down to 18%. Somehow when he got to OKC his 3 pt percentage jump to about league average at 34%. OKC was use to having a player in Andre Roberson who wasn't a good 3 point shooter.
