2019 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Honestly, kind of shocked Nazir Little isnt getting more love.

Hes basically the wing version of Sexton but with a more advanced shot. I sort of question whether he is a 3 or a 4, but I really like his game. A little stiff but not horrible. Kind of like what MPJr was supposed to be.

Going to be fun to watch him at UNC, IMO. Dude is gonna run all over the gym.

I like him a lot, but I think his similarities to Sexton are mostly superficial. I don't think he's likely to drop 20+ points or 5+ assists on a regular basis, but he's the kind of wing who can lead a team in rebounding, defend 4 if not 5 positions, and rack up huge steal/block totals. Kawhi seems like the obvious highly-optimistic comparison if you're making a case for Little, IMO.

I like Little a lot and I think I posted closer to the start of this thread about him. He transitioned from 15-17 years old from more of a PF looking player in to an NBA wing prospect.....offensively, that transition was impressively smooth. His offensive NBA upside is high (as a scorer) and he finished his senior year on a tear but he really needs to prove he can guard the 3 at the NBA level.

Defensively, I still have reservations on the perimeter. He protects the rim well but that is obviously something you can only do in spurts as a true wing. I've watched a few of his scrimmages from the Bahamas and his lateral movement is at least a little shakey, from what I can tell. You mentioned his stiffness, not sure if that was what you were alluding to. Maybe he just had a few bad moments guarding but he got turned around on a handful of occasions and beat off the dribble.

If he shows an ability to guard at a high level, I think he's one one of the players in this draft that will settle in the top 3.

I’ve been on the Barrett bandwagon since LA left. I think he got next. Could be wrong though.

I like Barrett, Reddish, Little, And Langford right now. It’s still early. Too early.

IDK about Zion. Haven’t seen him play since he went against the Ball brother and couldn’t do anything besides dunk. But he is 6’5 285 beast. What’s his position?

Since the tank is in full effect without much tanking. I can watch and get excited about a young prospect.

This Cavs team is awfu (who seem that coming.......). Bad year for the NBA to have flattened out how the lottery works. Even with Love this team sucks. We all knew this was coming. Those who had delusional hopes of making the playoffs are back in the real world I hope.

I won't be watching NBA basketball again until LeBron retires. He had every right to leave but it sure left a sour taste in my mouth not only because I knew how awful the Cavs would be but because LeBron was our guy he once again choose to leave. I get it I mean what could he do if he ever wanted a chance to win again as it was never happening here again. The stupid Kyrie trade which brought us only 1 draft pick and nothing else was the end of this team. They screwed it all up when they never were able to get another star.

Duke had their final exhibition game tonight...

Zion Williamson: 9-14 FG, 0-1 3PT, 5-7 FT, 10 REB, 1 AST, 3 TO, 2 BLK, 2 STL, 23 PTS
Cam Reddish: 4-9 FG, 2-6 3PT, 10-14 FT, 1 REB, 5 AST, 2 TO, 1 BLK, 3 STL, 20 PTS
RJ Barrett: 11-18 FG, 4-7 3PT, 6-10 FT, 8 REB, 3 AST, 1 TO, 0 BLK, 1 STL, 32 PTS

Is it out of the question that Zion could be a defensive monster? Seems like he gets double-digit boards and at least 3 steals+block in every single game.

Zion is like a more athletic Bennett (prior to busting), in terms of physical build. How’s his BBIQ?

That euro step in transition with the lefty scoop at 1:06
Then he does it to the right at 2:04 :celb (14):

For a guy that can't shoot, Barrett is sure hitting a lot of 3's in their exhibition schedule.

RJs jumper is just so slow.

HOWEVER, I am coming around on him. If he could be a decent open jump shooter, then hes got a very good NBA game.

Reddish is still one of the best shooters but...is he Klay or is he Fraudney Hood?

Williamson....is he big enough to handle his duties? He looks like a hyper athletic Julius Randle. If he ever learns a shot, he could become Kawhi.

I hate watching Dook. Do I have to do this all year? Smh

Much like all the other perimeter prospects, the best word to describe his shooting abilities is "streaky". His EYBL performance backs that up.

Reddish's best attribute is his point-forward potential.

Size and athletic advantages which will be lessened in the NBA boost those numbers to me. I've been underwhelmed with his overall defensive awareness & perimeter defense in the couple of games I watched in full. I think the highlight plays all season on that end will overshadow a lot of his true defensive impact.

Speed of release is less of a concern for an athletic, slashing player.....vs. someone like Reddish, who will need to shoot against pressure to be successful at the next level.

All Barrett needs is shooting that is good enough to use as a tool to extend his defender. If, at the NBA level, his man needs to take that extra half step out, it opens up the floor for him.
