Haven't really followed the Tribe since 2002 for reasons.
How is the outlook for them improving? I understand they battled through some bad luck with injuries and only got healthy towards the end of the season.
Should be bringing back pretty much the exact same core next season.
Starting pitching group of Kluber, Bieber, Clevinger, Carassco, Civale/Plutko/Plesac will be one of the best in baseball if healthy.
Lineup will be headed by the three-headed monster of Lindor, Ramirez, and Santana, along with hopeful improvements from some young guys like Reyes, Mercado, Luplow, and Bauers. Roberto Perez, our catcher, was one of the best overall in baseball in 2019.
Bullpen has plenty of questions, but should be led by Hand the closer along with guys like Karinchak, Goody, Wittgren, Cimber, and Hentges - with the opportunity to also have vets Perez, Clippard, and Otero back.
Jason Kipnis has been around since 2011 and likely won't be back. Yasiel Puig likely won't be back.
If everything breaks right, I still see no reason why this team can't play into October. The AL Central is getting better, but injury luck last season (Lindor, Kluber, Carassco, Clevinger, Ramirez) was a huge killer. We're already going to be without starting right fielder Tyler Naquin for 6+ weeks next season as he recovers from a torn ACL.
I'd say as of today, they're probably a 91-94 win team next season.
