He’s not big and he’s not fast, so he wasn’t drafted, but he knows how to run routes, has good hands, and knows how to fight for the ball, so he’s got a chance. He’s an underdog that’s easy to like. My 11 year old son is rooting for him big time. I’m rooting for him too, but I’m also kind of hoping we don’t see him much, because that means things are not going so well for our recievers.

All things being equal, I’d have preferred Hodge on the team, but it’s likely Detroit might have claimed either player that we waived. Hodge is going to get a lot more opportunities with the lions, so I can see why he’s OK with the change of scenery.
