Ballock is the best sniper on the roster and they just waived him in favor of Tacko or Nembhart? Weird stuff going on in this front office these days. I can't say I am surprised they kept Tacko being so polarizing but would have much rather seen them waive Valentine who is terrible still over Ballock who will be the leagues next Duncan Robinson for some other roster smh
I don't think any other team is going to offer Ballock a contract so he'll probably end up playing for the Charge.

I am going to just come out and say it... I think I'm becoming a Sacramento Kings fan.

I know they have the worst ownership outside of the Dolans in New York. Following both Gilbert's organization and the Ranadive era will probably cause me to have a stroke... but this new GM has figured out how to get a competitive small market roster together.

So this brings on a question I had.

What is everyone's "2nd" team?

For me it changes every few years. It's rarely a favorite and usually a young team with players I personally liked coming into the league.

The last few years it was Denver that I'd go out of my way to watch. Before that Milwaukee.

This year its gonna be Charlotte. 100%. Gonna sneak in some Bulls too when I can.

But I'll watch Charlotte every chance I get.

My second team was the Warriors for a long, long time. When the fan base became 95% techie douchebags, I had to become a free agent.

I'm pretty sure everyone who lived in the Bay Area before the techies took over moved to Portland and Sacramento, so I'm rolling up my rafter blunts and following them.

Very close to picking up Davion in fantasy...just too crowded in the backcourt over there. But I'd take any of their 3 guards over our guys.

I'm originally from San Francisco, and was a HUGE fan of Sarunas Marciliunas, then Run TMC, then Chris Gatling, then Danny Tanner and Mr Cooper, and those Baron Davis-led playoff runs. Steph Curry (before the MVPs) kinda ruined them for me, then 2015-2018 and the bandwagon tech bro fans that have ruined the Bay Area for me ruined the Warriors, also.

I'm a fan of well run organizations that draft/trade/sign well and seem to have a plan. I LOVED the Spurs for Duncan's career. I'm a fan of what Milwaukee has done. I'm keeping an eye on Denver. Memphis has my attention. If Vivek wasn't such a problem, I'd be more excited about the Kings...

It was such a good vibe in Oracle through the Mark Jackson era. They always had a young team battling it out. I usually got a ticket for about ten bucks and took BART to and from the stadium.

Now it's $400 tickets. Haven't been in the new arena, don't know when I will.

But up north in wine country a plucky team is coming together. "Off Night" is the best new NBA nickname in years. They also have an aversion to small forwards. Call them Cavaliers West!

I’d say Atlanta & Charlotte for me. Both have young, exciting teams that are on the rise. Atlanta has the potential to be one of the best teams in the East, if they can keep the momentum going from last year.

I loved the We Believe Warriors and was a soft fan til 2016. The 73 win team + aggressive bandwagoning turned me off. My actual second team has been Portland for a long time, especially in the Brandon Roy/Martrell Webster era. More recently its been Memphis as I love the way they draft and I love me some Ja Morant.

Dallas and Memphis for me. Going back to the Dirk and Grit and Grind era I always liked those teams, but now they drafted a lot of the players I loved coming in.

A new one emerging a little bit could be Detroit actually. Big Ben was one of my all time favs, and now Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, Jerami Grant - they're giving me the same vibes.

Wizards because I live here. But they are a perennially unexciting team and seem doomed to continue that tradition. No team has been on the low playoffs/late lottery win 40 games per year treadmill as long as the Wizards have. Why couldn’t Durant have come here? Beal is better than Kyrie

hope not but he is so good of a shooter it would not surprise me at all. He should be the Windler insurance because he does a lot of the same things on the court as is

That's not bad value for Memphis. The time is ticking on the Cavs & Sexton.
