2022 - 2023 Eastern Conference Predictions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
1. Milwaukee
2. Philly
3. Cavs
4. Brooklyn
5. Miami
6. Boston
7. Atlanta
8. Toronto

My prediction is that Cavs upset the Sixers in the 2nd round. Harden never makes a shot ever again and Doc Rivers is fired.

1) Bucks
2) 76ers
3) Celtics
4) Nets
5) Cavs
6) Raptors
7) Hawks
8) Heat

I predict a Nets implosion. And I don't like them, so they are a play-in team in my fiction story.

I also predict a surprising season from the Knicks with Obi having a breakout season and RJ playing better with he help of Brunson. Randle becoming a team player..and not a ball hog.

Ultimately, if we don't win 50 games this season? Is that a failure? (barring major injuries)

I like our youth and depth to see us through the long season better than many of our competitors in the East. I'll say we go 50-32 which last year would have put us as the 5 seed.

53-29 second round exit. Fun year, but a bit disappointing in the end.

I see the Knicks trading Obi this season

I predict the Cavs will win about 75% of their home games and 60% of their road games. That will give them 55 wins, good for second place in the East. I am less optimistic about them having comparable playoff success, given their lack of experience there, but it should be an exciting year nevertheless.

Yes, the East is deep. But there will always be a few teams that underperform due to injuries, poor chemistry, etc. The Cavs won't be one of them.

Cleveland baseball (and most assuredly football) is done for the season. Go Cavs, you're up next! :chuckle:

Depends upon the teams above us. If 51 or 52 wins the conference and the seeds are packed tightly, I could stand winning only 49 games.

Also depends upon our seed and our 1st round. If we win the first round, it's a success. If we don't, it's not, unless our loss is due to a major injury. I will be disappointed with anything below a 4th seed.
