2022-2023 NBA Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rudy Gobert has blonde tips on his hair. Just no. As bad as Cedi's unkempt beard.

I love Lu Dort. Cavs could use a player with his energy, fire, strength.

Giddey is like a tall Rubio. Amazing playmaker.

SGA still doing pretty moves.

They're doing better than I thought. I just hope they don't play 20 decent games only to tank 60 again.

Thunder not quite gonna get this one.

Pokuseveski is still absolute ASS.

That dude is just a gangly awkward brick waiting to happen.

I guess if they hope to get lucky and land Wembanyama, they know who to rely on to give minutes to to suck.

I’d love to see the Cavs get Jarred Vanderbilt from the Jazz; the dude is tough and could beef up our rebounding when he’s in

Brandon Ingram looks as big as Anthony Davis. Even KD looks like a twig next to him. That boy must've been in the weight room all off-season.

I can't watch the NBA and say I enjoy the product i'm watching. I think it's a embarrassing. The league and players have lost their way.

The 76ers-Celtics game officiating was straight up crime. I think I watched more freethrows than actual gameplay. Not only that, but most fouls were actually phantom fouls. The defense actually tried to avoid the fouls, but they were still called against them..mostly against the Celtics. You have two flopping crybabies in Harden and Embiid and 3 refs that play along. Why? I have no clue. They also do not allow the players to complain after the unprofessional, foul play calls...it's insanity. Oh and you also have the commentators actually supporting some of the calls.

God damn, I don't think I can watch the league other than the Cavs. What a fucking shame because the quality of players is outstanding. I actually want to protest and go to a rally against the league and Adam Silver in particular...THIS DUDE FUCKING SUCKS.

I watched all of the Euro championship this summer, and honestly was far more enjoyable then watching this Mickey Mouse league.. The ball movement, tactics, passion physicality is such a pleasure. Then I tune into Boston Philly and it’s just borderline unwatchable. Flops, non stop iso ball, ludacris amount of whining complaining. If my mother didn’t happen to be from painsville don’t think I’d watch cavs or nba at all

Not sure I remember a time when there was as much emerging 25 and under talent in the NBA as there is now. Ingram is looking like a monster and Zion is back. Paolo Banchero had an incredible debut. Ja Morant is the most electrifying new backcourt talent in a long time. Luka is Luka, the greatest player his age since Lebron. Incredibly, Jayson Tatum is still under 25 even though it feels like he's been around forever. This is before even getting to the long list of young players who are just really really good like our own Garland, or those entering their second year and already good but where the ceiling is unclear, like Scottie Barnes, Cade Cunningham, or our own Evan Mobley. I know I've left many off. And next year Wembanyana will join the list.

I almost wonder if a 25 and under all-star team could beat an all-star team assembled from the older players. It would be close that's for sure.

The one bad thing about this is that it means our own young core perhaps isn't quite as impressive as it would be at another time in NBA history.

I thought he looked a LOT slower than before. Not sure it made much sense for him to add muscle/weight. Dude's a perimeter player and a jump shooter.

Watched a lot of the Hawks/Rockets game. I personally think Murray and Young will be the best backcourt in the NBA this season. Yes, even better than Steph and Klay. I know I'm higher on them as a tandem than most, but it was a pretty great start.

On the other end, Bruno Fernando was really impressive getting his first real starter minutes last night. If he keeps that up it'll be a good find for Houston indeed.

Not even looking at the schedule... but the Lakers are going to be the Broncos of the NBA in regards to National TV.

As long as they're in LA (✔) and LeBron is there (✔) they are going to be shown on prime time a lot obviously.... and lose a lot of games in embarrassing fashion.

Eh, Philly isn't a contender.

Blown out by Boston then losing at home to a Bucks team without Middleton.

But again, that's how good the East is. A team with talent like that isn't a threat.

Ivan Zubac had 17 rbs and 5 blocks last night vs AD, who had 8 boards and 0 blocks. Is AD mailing it in already? Shell of his former self? Bulked up too much (per prior post)?
