Time to lock this one.
Was time when the regular season ended!

I'm not sure it is drivel, and I prefer good cake to icing any day....but as you say, "Fantastic Season".Fantastic year... Great run...
Commence with all the "house's money", "icing on the cake drivel if you wish.
Really hard not to see the team improving for next year and maybe even exponentially.
Go NATIONAL LEAGUE... I'll go with the Padres.
Actually going out for some sort cake and ice cream sounds like a good plan for later tonight. Thanks!I'm not sure it is drivel, and I prefer good cake to icing any day....but as you say, "Fantastic Season".

Shrug . These are all different teams different eras besides 2016/2017… what can you do? This is cleveland. More often than not you’ll end up disappointed.2007: Blew a 3-1 lead
2016: Blew a 3-1 lead
2017: Blew a 2-0 lead
2022: Blew a 2-1 lead
The only game that matters is the last one. This is a VERY disturbing trend. Statistically speaking we should have won all 4 series. We lost them all. Yikes.
Plus baseball is not like basketball, match ups change everything and I bet our chances of winning last night were about 35% higher than tonight.Shrug . What about all the series we won during that time?2007: Blew a 3-1 lead

Apologies, I actually did not know this. I think this was the first time I've ever reported a post on RCF or any other website for that matter. At the least, the first one in recent memory. And had I known the effects, I would have never even considered using it. Is this mentioned in a pinned thread anywhere? If not, might not be a bad idea; can't imagine I'm the only one who didn't know this. I do not frequent the Politics section where I'm sure most of these conversations happen.NOTICE
The "Report" button sends a text to @Sebastian's personal phone. This has been posted on RCF numerous times.
A lesser known feature of the Report button is that it can have a boomerang effect. If you use it for thread squabbles without even first even attempting to ping a moderator, the person who used the button may be the one to get doinked Jose Canseco-style, right on the head, and get sent on involuntary vacation.
You know who you are. And if you don't....
@Ohio
Baseball doesn’t always make sense. I’ll be quite honest, some crazy shit can happen in baseball and it’s a game of not only momentum but streaks (both good and bad). Look at this year as a prime example… 101 win Mets and Braves bounced. The 111 win Dodgers bounced by an 89 win Padres team. It’s not always the best team that wins. Baseball is unique in that way. How often does a team in the NBA win it all that’s below, say, a 4 seed?Bro I hope you aren’t talking about me. If so, PM or ignore instead of reporting to mods if something upsets you.
Everyone gets pissed after a playoff loss or even a series collapse. Though I don’t consider 2016 and 2022 collapses. I think the better teams won. I am not so sure that was the case in 2007 and 2017. But we always seem to lose whether we are the better team or not. Something just doesn’t makes sense.
"Do not use the Report button" notes are attached in each sub-Forum's moderation thread.Apologies, I actually did not know this. cc: @Sebastian , apologies to you in particular for the phone ping.
