Maybe it's just me, but it seems like someone says this every year.

Could also just be that teams who are interested in him are trying to make him drop further in the draft. Smoke screens and scare tactics are all over the place.
Yeah. It's an awful QB class combined with no elite pass rusher, so casual fans are down on it. But overall there are a ton of good players in this draft. Just lacks the elite elite talent at the top.I think people in the business are excited about the draft because it has the chance to be unpredictable (moreso than other years).
There doesn't seem to be a lot of star power though, which keeps fans attention.
Werner and Browning were both Day 2 picks thoughI think OSU's main defensive issues have been a lack of a strong LB core. Their DL line and DBs have done well in the NFL. Looking back at LBs: Earl Bruce had Pepper Johnson and Spielman. Cooper had Diggs, Vrabel and Katzenmoyer. Tressel had Hawk, Carpenter and Laurinaitis (along with busts like Ghoulston). Meyer had Jerome Baker and Shazier. With Meyer/ Day we have had Browning and Werner, middle of the road guys.
Is OSU's defensive philosophy aligned more like the Browns with strong DL and DB and fill in the LBs as needed? I wish both had stronger LBs.
You're absolutely correct and it's the product of poor recruiting. Grinch didn't recruit anyone except Bryson Shaw and I don't know if Taver Johnson did a damn thing while he was on staff. Hafley, to his credit, landed Clark Phillips who looks like a fine player but jumped ship after Hafley left. Coombs definitely helped to restock the room and hopefully those guys can get coached up by Walton and Eliano.Werner and Browning were both Day 2 picks though
I think, overall, the secondary (other than Denzel Burke, who looks like a future high 1st) has been the weaker position group the past 2 seasons. Certainly in 2020.
I just hope we do some crazy shit. I hate not having a first.
Trade all picks for next year’s picks. Maybe save one for that punter. Trade them all to one team that we have identified as one that is going to be fucking terrible next year. Then we can root against them like we did the Texans.
Use all picks to move up to get a first rounder. Keep the 2nd rounder. This will work bc we got JOK in the 2nd, so we will basically get 2 first round picks again.
Trade back and back and back and see if we can acquire the entire 6th round. If we can’t, use next year’s picks. This is like shooting the moon in cards.
