2022 First Entry Draft.. A hitters paradise !!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Next year?

Vargas

Stephan should get the job this year, Sandlin can get there again, Karinchak was there and can reclaim it. Hentges has arm talent, but I've always doubted his mental fortitude. DLS is a solid 6/7 inning guy

Just get rid of Shaw and all problems are solved

I personally dont like that crew... I don't trust Karinchak... and the rest are not high leverage guys in my mind...

I want to find someone to add to them...

Morris may end up a bully arm sooner than later too.

I like Stephan and Hedges has a live arm if can master it but the rest of them can/should be replaced IMO.

Don’t forget Franco Aleman. They have him starting now, but he’s reportedly another potential high nineties guy and a relief prospect down the road from what I’ve read. Obviously Bimbo can either confirm or correct what I’ve just said as he would know more than I.

What also do you guys think of Tim Herrin? Big lefty, has been clicked as high as 98mph tho year, good strikeout rate. Could Luis Oviedo also be another guy they just turn into a back end guy considering his power arm? David Sharpe has been great this year out of the pen as well. Looks to be developing nicely.

Lesko and then MASHER Cayden Wallace in Comp pick per Mayo. That would be quite the HAUL. With Lesko's tools as one of the best RHP out of HS in years pre-Tommy John, I know with CERTAINTY the pitch factory would turn him into a FLAME THROWING STUD. Plus, an actual bat with some pop to MASH at the next pick. SignMeUp.gif

Throw in Nazier Mule who @Gson first mention and looks like a perfect pick in the 2nd/3rd, and we are COOKING WITH GAS. MLB Pipeline story regarding top draft tools had Mule as an honorable mention (meaning best after the top guy) for BEST ARM IN THE DRAFT. Touching 100 while only pitching part time and 17yo? Hell take him in the Comp A.

C. Wallace won't hit. There are a handful of those profiles hyped up before the draft every year, they've all flamed out quickly in pro ball.

agree with this... everything about this guy is "New York yankee" Any quality pitching, particularly away, will kill him.. He makes Jhonny Peralta look like a contact hitter.. He's a great get for one of our central division foes.. early in the draft..

So find me someone to root for in Rounds 1-3 who can hit but actually has pop. We cornered the market on Carson Tuckers, Yordys Valdes, and Cairo Jrs contact slap hitting ninnies 2 years ago. So if not Wallace then who?
