2022 NFL Postseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So how did all these mathemagicians that now run NFL FOs miss out on Brock Purdy? Do they need to starting weighing these guys testicles at the combine so they can identify the QBs that have 'it'?
Same offense made Brian Hoyer look like a man who should be paid… for 11 games. We know how he turned out.

Doesn’t mean Purdy can’t be a late round gem, but let’s see how he looks after teams get tape on him.

Purdy isn't ever going to win you a game--but boy does he look good just making easy passes and getting the ball out on time to CMC, Kittle and Deebo. Then when the defense moves up to stop the 49ers run game and all of the horizontal action, those deep throws are more open than they should be.

I don't think Purdy is a stud. I think he's closer to guys like Bridgewater, Mike White, Heinecke, Skylar Thompson, etc. But, if he's allowed to remain starting in SF and they keep this level of talent around him, I could see him developing into a terrific QB.

It's the "cockpit" model of team building. Assemble a tremendous defense, offensive line and skill positions, then drop in a young QB and let him grow and develop.

It's how Pittsburgh brought Roethlisberger along, how New England brought Brady along. I'm not saying Brock is on the same talent level as those guys--but this method has a great deal of success.

I think Purdy, so far, is exactly what Dorsey hoped Baker would be...

:::ducks and runs for cover:::

I don't think Purdy has anything close to Baker's arm strength.

Baker, under certain conditions, had zip that I don't think Purdy will ever have.

I think Purdy is closer to what people were hoping Rosen would be. ::ducks and hides with you::

Also the same way Brissett was playing like a top ten QB here this year. Give a guy a great offensive system and some good weapons and you can make just about anyone look good, and the Niners have even better weapons than we do right now.

Remember, Baker looked like a borderline top ten QB in Stefanski’s system two years ago, and Jimmy G has had a few playoff runs with Shanny despite being mediocre at best.

Oh, and I'll call it right now--Purdy is a better QB than Garoppolo.

He’s definitely better at throwing outside the numbers. That’s something Jimmy struggles with, but it hardly matters when you’ve got YAC monsters like Deebo and Kittle.

Purdy just means Aiyuk gets to do shit too.

I think we need to rip John Lynch away from the 49ers…

Tom Brady looks really out of sorts tonight. Never seen the guy double clutch and pump fake so much.
