Not anymore. Without Diakite there is nothing to look forward to. Unless Joby surprises me with a late waiver wire sign.
If that two-way is still open I can definitely see it. Diakite does a lot more for the Cavs rotationally than Nembhard (aka "Not Sexton #5") does. Hope Koby sees it. Frankly if they can find a way to swap him with Windler (who I don't think I heard much about during preseason) that would be ideal. #9 is basically Denzel Valentine status until future notice.

ESPN ranks us 13th in their season preview:

Ahead of New Orleans, Atlanta, Toronto, and Chicago, so generous in that sense, but behind every 2nd round+ proven playoff team, the Clippers with Kawhi back, and Minnesota with Gobert.

Whole piece is a demonstration of just how deep the NBA is right now. After what we gave away in the Mitchell trade -- one of the biggest draft packages in NBA history plus a good starter -- we need to be at least a top ten team in the league this year or we might be headed for one of those "perpetually pretty good" type futures that is so frustrating in the NBA.

Cavs also have the 2nd most players in the ESPN top 100 with 6 selections behind Boston with 7.

I wonder why the Clippers keep getting so much love on these things. I just don't see it. I know they've been injured, but heck, I think Brooklyn and their mess has already proven way more, but somehow Clippers get a pass? I wouldn't rank them top 10 until proven otherwise at this point...

Otherwise, seems like a fairly good list, I think they give a few teams too much credit, but overall, I think this is about where the Cavs hover, though as Mitchell said in that quote, the Cavs were 3rd before injuries took them down a few notches, if Mitchell ends up a positive (mostly likely scenario)... Top 3 in the East isn't that far of a stretch to finish the year, barring injuries again (JB, don't overwork them in practice....)

They were a play in team last year without their two best guys. You add in a top 7-8ish and another top 15 guy coming in this year and thats where the projection comes from. Add in they also have one of the 5 best coaches in the league. fwiw, I have the clips number 2 behind only Mil this year

I'm looking for any intel from fans who have subscribed to Bally Sports +.

I have YouTube TV and therefore no access to Cavaliers games. I'm considering going with the monthly subscription to Bally Sports +. Hate the monthly rate, but I'll probably only keep it for 6 months and cancel for the NBA playoffs.

If I start tomorrow, after the 1 week free trial is up, will I be charged a full monthly fee for October? Or does it pro-rate? Or does it just begin a monthly subscription that isn't connected to the calendar month?

Your monthly subscription date should start on the day you subscribed like most streaming services

If you are already streaming You Tube TV just switch to Direct TV Stream. This is not a satellite service, just another streaming service. You can probably download the app if you have a smart tv. Or you can order the box and remote for ease of use.
Direct TV Stream has all the Bally Sports channels that include Cavs, Guardians, Crew, Blue Jackets.
Direct TV Stream might be $10 / month more expensive than You Tube TV. But in the end, I think it's worth the convenience of getting the games.
However, if you are a Cavs full or half season ticket holder, the Cavs will provide Bally Sports + for FREE to you.

FYI. My smart Samsung tv doesn’t have Bally app as a choice . So I will have mirror or get a roku
