If I'm getting rid of a high priced OL, I'm convincing Joel to retire.

He looked pretty cooked all year long.

Disagree here. Joel didn’t play up to his usual standards, but he was still a positive on the line for sure. His best years are behind him, but he still brings something to the table in my opinion.

Have we all entered the “Oh it’s amazing we even made the playoffs!” coping phase yet? When 24 hours ago 90% of us thought we were winning this game and instead lost by 30?

Texans scared me.
More than the Chiefs, Bills, Phins and Steelers.

They were no pushover, but I think very few expected us to lose here. Let alone get embarrassed.

Sure, positives to take from the season and it’s true the team has been busted by injuries all year, but that’s not how you want to go out and I’m going to let myself be pissed for a few hours before I go back and try to sugarcoat it.

What's the consensus on the defense? Just a bad day at the office? Did Schwartz simply get cooked? Too much reliance on Myles alone being a disrupter?

I think a good case could be made that they got fat on some shitty back up QBs and banged ups starters. Run defense was mediocre all year. Many of the vets QBs they played found ways to pick them apart. Other than Lamar in game 2, they didn't show well against better QB competition.

I'm not really worried about the offense moving forward. The number of injuries were absurd and they still functioned at pretty high level. But the way this defense seemed to be a non-100% Myles away from falling off a cliff is massively concerning to me. Seems imperative that they add to the DLine moving forward.

I was riding it for a bit. Especially the defense being elite and January Joe narrative.

But the two concerns I had eating away at it were: the Browns not showing up on the road [and letting a rookie QB light them up] or Flacco throwing multiple INTs if the first concern happened. Both happened.

When the Texans started carving the defense up, I knew whatever happened on offense wouldn't even matter because we are here due to the defense.

Should've trusted the PTSD Browns fan part of me more. He's like that for a reason.

Good season, wish it had a different ending.
All those saying folks are rationalizing a bad end: yes, we are. Nothing wrong with that

Not me. I am immensely disappointed in the browns and won’t pull the weird cope of “well it was house money!!!”

I expected to win. We lost. I won’t rewrite history on that

Who cares how much you lose by?

We could have lost by less by not going for it on 4th down more. Would that make it less embarrassing?

The team was a shell. Fans were believing and riding a high despite the whole Cinderella story being illogical. Defense didn’t show up, washed 38 year old QB finally looked washed.

That loss wasn’t even close to cracking the embarrassing loss list.
