@wuck I was gonna make a thread for the individual series like usual, but if the Cavs are gonna have a short run i don't know how necessary that is :chuckle:

If Mitchell is even 80% we win this rather easily, imo. If he phones it in, or is off...going to be a drag.

This thread should be May We Make It To June.

This is Mobley’s time to show us what all the hype and chatter has been about. Cavs chances of winning hinges on his performance imo.

I'm going to assume Philly and Miami come out of the play-in, which would mean the Cavs Eastern path would be:

Round 1: Orlando [in Cleveland]

Round 2: Boston [in Boston], Philly [in Cleveland], or Miami [in Cleveland]

Round 3 [ECF]: Milwaukee [in Milwaukee], Indy [in Cleveland], NY [in New York], Miami [in Cleveland], or Philly [in Cleveland]

Magic are going to be pretty physical. The Wagner brothers are going to bring it against our bigs with their feisty play. This goes 6/7.

That one Wagner bro (Hans or Franz, can’t remember) talked some shit about our team “contenders vs pretenders” or something like that. I‘d have that playing on loop in the locker room.

TT and Morris might have work to do on that guy.

As always I never condone improper language, rule breaking, excessive physical contact, dirty play or cheap shots against the other team. It’s a bad idea, it’s deplorable, and it’s never defensible.

I remember Game 4 vs Seattle when we had Ken Hill pitching and we were down 2-1 trying to get to the Series. 100-44 and the Mariners in our way? The late great Geoff Sindelar was doing a live pregame and some jackass in the audience yells “Throw at Buhner!” Geoff was not impressed although there were some voices who liked the idea. It was stupid, childish and immature.

I‘m still looking for that guy to tell him off.

Every time we play the magic, whichever brother is the center always has a big game and always bullies Allen and Mobley. This will be a good test to see if they learned from last year, that it’s cool to be nice and smiling and having fun in the regular season, but playoffs it’s time to get physical. I don’t want to have to sub in TT to send a message because our bigs aren’t tough enough.
