2023-24 Playoff Series #1 | Game #7 | Magic @ Cavs | May 5, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Stakes are pretty low. Whoever wins gets crushed by Boston. And even if we win we know this team aint it.

So just gonna enjoy my Elvish juice.

LeVert is literally playing like the only player that gives a damn it's a game 7

You're damn right, Doris Burke. We need to push the pace to have a shot

You watch Wolve VS Nuggets and its a masterclass

Both these teams are lowkey ass. we just are ass'er because weve had this iteration longer

Heard the same thing last year with the Knicks

We are missing plenty of open looks

I’m not saying the Magic aren’t good defensively, but we can’t keep saying every team the Cavs run into are built for the playoffs. The Cavs playoff offense would have the Charlotte hornets looking like defensive savants
Don’t disagree… just point out how glaring it is when Suggs and Banchero are primary scoring options compared to Mitchell and Garland. The tough buckets just look easier. We really need Mobley to turn a corner offensively for this team to go far (and a new coach of course).

Vert roller coaster

Fuck it, we need something.

I refuse to believe the fit and players sans Mitchell are this bad.

I think even Niang is better with a different coach/scheme.

Obviously the injuries suck.

The fit isn't THIS bad.

But it's bad.

I'd even go as far as changing the name of the team after this performance. This isn't Cavaliers basketball.

Might has as well let Caris take iso shots and hope he gets hot and goes for 30

JB has no idea what to do

What it looks like to me is that after 7 games(and before that really), Orlando knows all of our limited offensive looks/tendencies inside out. That knowledge, their very good athleticism and length, and our lack of either ability or willingness to do different offensive sets have Orlando easily smothering us.

Obviousky we miss Allen hugely, but that’s not an excuse for the absolutely dead horrific half court offense we’re seeing

Let’s see if that changes with TT and Merrill in the game

That Garland turnover is because Mobley is a terrible screen setter, didn't even make contact with Suggs.

Sorry, but if you have ever played guard in your life, the ball handler is responsible for using the screen. Mobley has to set somewhere and Garland needs to setup his man to get pinned on it. If Garland is just doing that banana dribble on an arc, no amount of screening is helping him. Mobley is just going to pick up a bad foul in a game where he cannot come off the floor.
