2023-24 Playoff Series #1 | Game #7 | Magic @ Cavs | May 5, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If they will lose today ,90% of this team have to go.There is no any way around. They had their chances to prove for years, and it os do or die today. You are either mature enough to man up, or you are just barely driven small pieces that can not do a shit on your own.
Well, maybe not 90%. But I get your point.

I can't see JBB getting fired for losing in seven to a 47-win team (we won 48) without Allen and Wade and with Mitchell playing on a painful knee and Mobley on a sprained ankle. Allen is missing the last three games of this series. He's not replaceable.

Wade was 8-for-13 against Orlando on 3's in the regular season and he's one of the league's best individual defenders. If the Cavs could put him on Banchero and Mobley on Franz they would be in great shape. The loss of Wade has been huge, especially with Allen out and the way Niang and Morris have been playing.

It was the front office who drafted Okoro and gave JBB LeVert, Niang, and Morris. What is JBB supposed to do with these guys?

The Cavs are shooting 28% on 3's. During the regular season they shot 34% against Orlando if you take out Merrill, Wade, and Damian Jones, none of whom will probably play today. The Cavs have to hit some 3's today, period. Mitchell won't be able to make layup after layup for 45 minutes.

kinda strange only one game today and its noon central time.

I can probably honestly say I won't watch more than a handful of Cavs games next year if JBB is brought back. I would typically watch about 70 games a year plus playoffs.

This year, I can honestly say and my wife can back this up... maybe parts of 30 games and perhaps something like 15 games from start to finish. This team is probably one of the least joyful viewing experiences I can remember. I had more fun watching Alonzo Gee.

But seriously... if JBB is the coach in October.... I'm planning on tuning out the Cavs almost completely. Which is a shame because of all the fun I've had watching the team over the years.

Wow wham I agree with basically everything you usually post but I hope they don't come up with more excuses to keep JBB for the multitude of reasons that have been discussed ad nauseum in here.

You're looking at this the wrong way. JB isn't getting fired for losing game 7, he's getting fired because of everything leading up to game 7. For getting into this situation in the first place.

Making decisions like this is not about one game. It's a body of work, and JB has underperformed.

JB gotta be having butterflies. Full scale panic attack coming???

Magic's full roster is available today. Not the case for the Cavs, obviously.

I would image that if the Cavs lose today, JBB will not be given till midnight to get his shit out of the building.

And if he is given more than 36 hours Gilbert should burn down the building. And i 100% think Koby deserves to come back. But if he can't fire JBB then auf Wiedersehen
